Not sure if a statement or asking, but please dont mix cultivation with magic,  There is not enough info about your story to say if sci fi vs medieval style magic is more interesting for your evolution, but considering most of the evolution stories are setting in more midieval settings, sci fi could really put yourself out there ( like being born from dragonfly eggs in a pond in a beast infested area ( where the advanced hunters of the future age hunt mutated beasts from nuclear war in the past, portals, or world shift hover it sounds appealing) or even being the product of genetic tampering from scientists results in dormant ancient gene letting the mc  adapt due to having dna of orginal life, no idea but good luck!

I would say one of the top 3 ones, but it if I have to choose it would be either the magic and sword or cultivation or maybe a mix of both.
