He lets her get away and secretly follows. There have been more than one occasion where someone mysteriously helps her.
"What did you talk about with Arata?"
"Hmm, you know what I mentioned to you last time?"
"About some of the traitors you weeded out acting strange?"
Sumire nodded. "I've been investigating this seriously, and recently I discovered a trail that leads to Arata. So, I called him out to get some answers."
"And he gave them to you?"
"We struck a deal, and now he is working for me."
Toh stares at her in disbelief. "You know it's not easy to convince him."
"I know, it really works in my favour that Nagawa Mira slipped up. Otherwise I think it would have taken a few fights to persuade him."
Toh sighs. "Well, if you two are working on the same side. I suppose that is one less person who is after you."
