"She's missing!"
Those were the first words which left Jeffery's breathless mouth. His mind was too consumed by the urgency of the matter, that he failed to realize that his Boss was resting.
"She's missing." He repeated his words without realizing that his loud and bold entrance had pulled the man who was sitting in the chair out of his slumber.
"What do you mean?"
Before the butler could realize what was happening and warn Jeffery to lower down his voice, it was already too late. Blake was wide awake and was staring back at Jeffery's sweating face. Worry was engraved into it with three black lines running horizontally across his forehead.
"The girl, she's not in the room." He had barely finished his words and Blake was already out of the room. The weariness from earlier was longer embracing his face as if it didn't exist in the first place.
