Chapter 234 - 180 - Encounter U part 2

.

"Suuuuuuuuuu~"

He took a deep breath before regaining his thoughts. His anxiety continued to crawl down his back like a cold dead hand that refused to stay dead. However, he needed to resolve himself here. He needed to defeat this threat. Even if he needed to speak to it to ready himself, he had to move forward or he would be going nowhere.

"... You are an enemy to all living things. Leaving you alive would be akin to cursing the universe... Even if this fear consumes me, as long as my blood keeps flowing... I'll take you out!" (Uegauss)

Killing intent so incredibly dense, it made the air feel heavy. Portions of her face were concealed from the eyes of others through a psychological filter. This was true fear, a mass of death so concentrated that the brain refused to acknowledge its existence. Such that it censored the information flowing into the eyes of Uegauss, a supposed heavenly King was being threatened to this extent by a little girl. A dark shadow covered 3 quarters of Lilith's face in his viewpoint, leaving a single left eye picking out in abject animosity. She wasn't using a skill to hide her face, and he could tell from the lack of magic traces in the air. He could instinctively tell, his entire being was experiencing fear.

The light shone in a way that the corners of her conjunctiva glistened next to her iris, her eyelids opened with so much pressure that the nearby ground was suddenly gouged out.

Despite being a higher level, his stats could not match up at all. Before long, she vanished before his eyes. Generally people hone their battle senses over a long period of time, developing skills based on their intuition, to predict the opponent's next move. As such, some individuals are able to tell where their opponent's next attack was coming from, despite losing track of them. In this case though, the murderous intent was so thick and suffocating, it seemed like it came from every direction, instead of one.

The inability to react. Even at the highest speed, magic took conscious effort to activate, which is limited by the Agility value. Other wise, magic would activate on its own and cause spontaneous destruction. With this, if one couldn't react in time during battle, they were usually dead first.

Last but not least, opponent's should not be underestimated.

An impact capable of wiping cities released all of its force at a single point. A large booming sound consumed the school, all of its force negated. The opponent was almost completely unscathed, though he had numerous scratches at various areas and shooked in uncontrollable fear. Using his skill, he blocked the preemptive attack by Lilith with his palm and pulled her fist in to give a knee strike.

Lilith followed it up with a flurry of attacks, cupping her left hand into a fist, she rained blow after blow onto his arm thta restricted her right hand. An enormous constant bass sound became a part of the environment sinking into depths of chaos. Though she was roughly 225 times faster, Uegauss has 6 times her strength, enforcing an iron grip that is nearly impossible to release from once grabbed. A creaking sound to rose out of her wrist, pain consumed her conscious.

"..."

Though similar, her expression was even more bunged up when it tinged from the pain. Her eyebrows furrowed to the maximum, her teeth exposed, clenching to endure. Her voice was still gone, leaving a voiceless cry. However, it only meant that she had to hit 6 times as much, something not impossible with her speed advantage. As the opponent's knee struck into the depths of her gut, her left arm materialised a gauntlet of [demonic energy] and struck through the his restricting arm at the same time.

"Guhah!"

"Ugh!!!" (Uegauss)

Air and drool shot out of her throat, uncontainable within her body. On the other hand, persistent bleeding leaked from the opponent's left arm. After all, there was a wide gaping hole in it, his defense skills futile against the attack that easily phased through defenses. As a gauntlet of deadly insanely condensed [demonic energy], it either shot through the defenses without resistance and damaged the inside, or crush through the defenses like glass. This occasion was the latter, his body was simply too weak to keep up.

Even if he manipulated the air and his body's cells to stay still, unable to carry energy through, the remaining shockwaves of her attacks would curve around this spatial wall that was seemingly impossible to penetrate. This was the only reason why he could survive for so long, his training had allowed him to use this skill for a prolong period of time. It was not like it was the first time he went on the defensive.

As a wielder of [manipulate(true)] that boasted invincibility, going on the defensive had become second nature to him. Only difference was that at this moment, this was the first time he couldn't find an opening to go on the offensive. He was stuck on the spot, controlling his skill with all of his will to block the shockwaves.

The moment his concentration slipped for even a second, the shockwaves could easily pulverised his entire being. [Demonic energy] , Lilith's physical attacked were enhanced by a thing layer of [demonic energy], followed by countless waves of residue energy being shot outwards from her momentum. They were shot in circular waves in all directions, hence the name of the sub skill.

They stood staring after the exchange. His skill used for the clotting of his blood, prevented the large leakage on his arm. Her attack had overpowered his skill and simply broke through the spatial barrier. It was more of an air barrier that froze the air in time, it acted extremely akin to a spacial barrier and was otherwise invincible as well. The only difference being that, Lilith was only able to break through one but not the water.

Healing energy was used for her broken wrist, her eyes observing the enemy like a hawk. His every miniscule movement observed by her pupils, her hair fluttering in the residual shockwaves. Numerous scratches show up on her black sailor uniform, leaving some portions of skin exposed. If it had been a normal day, people would have started staring. However this was a battle with their mortality at stake, if Uegauss lost concentration now, his built up enthusiasm will fade. His adrenaline would mostly vanish, leaving a shell that can't fight.

"Confident. Are we. But for some reason I could tell, you have full faith in your own words. All the more to be cautious.

[Demonic constitution] [Dark blow] [Execute] [Course destruction] [Manipulate(True)] " (Uegauss)

< [Demonic energy] >

A large burning pillar of black coursed through the ground she stood on. It swallowed everything up like a vertical tsunami or a well filling up vigorously. Similarly, an aura of orange and purple took turns to flash in an instant, cladding Uegauss's hand in a deadly aura.

In an instant, we disappeared from our spots to deal the final blow.
