Chapter 82 - 29 - New dungeon part 1

While Jack did his job of scouting the front area, there were unexpectedly random vents all around the area. Monsters would occasionally drop down and try to attack, but Tim would smash them with his shield. It took us 10 minutes to get to the area where level 220 was the average level for the monsters. At this point, they started to attack from the bacl and poison attacks were becoming more and more common.

"Lily! Watch out!" (Haruka)

Turning around, I could see a monster moving in slow motion. How boring. Giving my wrist a flick, the monster turned into a mist of blood that filled the air around. More and more giant lizard like creatures were appearing and averaged around level 220.

Going deeper into the dungeon at a slightly faster rate, the levels didn't matter. Any monster that came into range was erased by my hand. Slowly, more enemies of the nature element show up. Coating my shadow dagger with [Cursed fireball], the vines and mutated plants slowly decreased in number as well.

Nothing eventful actually happened until level 280 where the enemies took 2 hits for me to kill them. But even then, I still grinded throught the dungeon pretty easily.

"Huh~ let's stop for today. Overworking ourselves isn't ideal either, so we should again another day." (Tim)

"You guys can go on. I'm challenging the minor boss"

"huh? Alone?! That's insane!" (Jack)

" Whatever dude, go play with your nun or something. Unlike you guys, I'm not here to play. Soloing the minor boss should give me quite a bit of experience." Dismissing Jack's disapproval, I proceeded deeper into the dungeon floor. I heard that the minor boss is too troublesome for the high levels and too difficult for the low leveled adventurers, so it had been left alone for a while. Well, more experience for me. Since it's an old monster, it should have killed quite a lot of humans and leveled up.

On the other side of the minor boss's room was a stair case that lead towards the lower floor. The minor boss can't go through to the lower floors as there is a strange barrier there set up by the world system. Humans can just run through to the other side and reach the lower floors, occasionally one guy will get swat by the monster and get crushed to death. But that was normal for their line of work.

Pushing energy into my legs, I shot forth. No more play time. Twisting my body and constantly changing the length of my dagger, I made sure that my blade always reached my enemies a few times, guaranteeing their deaths. It was as if a storm of shadows a curses flew through the dungeon, massacring all the monsters around. Monsters of various elements show up, the one I had most trouble was the inferno ogres.

They had many layers, of armour and could convert their body fat into fire. Once they stop attacking, the fire goes back to form their fats. It was incredible annoying as they would burn away my shadow dagger with their intense heat. Zooming into the air, I activated [Shadow step] and set the anti-gravity effect to the maximum. Pushing the inferno ogres into the ground witb [Shadow step], I used [Manipulate shadow] to crush them into the ground. My manipulate shadow couldn't create force by itself yet as it was too low tier. So I relied on my strength to wield my shadow dagger and gravity to crush my enemies into the ground. It would be much more efficient to pierce their skin with shadow stakes, but it was too unfortunate.

Slowly going deeper into the dungeon where there were level 400s, there started to be corporeal monsters without physical forms. Those were extremely annoying as my [manipulate shadow] was more of a physical skill. Coating my shadow dagger with [Cursed fireball], I started by rushing in and slashing around. It did more damage than the usual, but it was still at a horrible slow rate of depleting their hp.

Hmm, what the hell can I do to kill these guys? Well for now, throwing my magic gems at them seems to work when a handful is used. This severely drains my resources so it wasn't smart to continue. Huh~ Guess I'll just have to run through them. Given my speed, it was extremely easy to run from them, after a while they lost aggro and stopped chasing. I was in a completely new area where the average was level 480.

Over here, it was much easier to just keep changing the length of my shadow dagger and spin around. The monsters died in 4 hits, but it was at least possible to slaughter all of them. Finally reaching the minor boss room, I checked my stats once more:

Name: Emily Shuu

Level: 281

Health: 2500/2500

Mana: 12500/12500

Strength: 1 800 000

Vitality: 250

Intelligence: 1250

Agility: 114 000 000

Class:assassin

This time I actually invested into vitality a bit, hopefully I won't be a one shot anymore.

Walking into the boss room, an ear bursting screech resounds throughout the area. Large vines rose up out of the ground as if forming a maze, the vines were large enough to become houses if you carved them. A giant green fist rushed to smash me to the ground. Dodging the fist, I flipped my body to stand on the fist, implanted my shadow dagger. Using [shadow step] 's antj gravity effect to help, I expanded the shadow dagger up the arm of the monster. Before it reached the shoulder, the boss lopped off its own arm and regrew a new one. This boss monster was mainly focused on the nature element and had a ridiculous regeneration.

Standing at 70 metres tall, there was a giant fortress like iron protrusion on its head. Was it a helmet? Why is it completely covering it's face. Below it's head was a giant green body that transitioned into tentacle like vines that were extended all over the area.

Monster : Spore cthulu

Level: 780.

Health: 200 000 000/200 000 000

Mana: 200 000 000/200 000 000

Strength: 10 000 000

Vitality: 20 000 000

Intelligence: 20 000 000

Agility: 4 400 000

Tch another strong monster. Regardless, my speed far exceeds the monsters by 2 digits. Immediately rushing at my maximum speed, I extended my shadow dagger to 10 metres long and coated it with [Cursed fireball]. Swing it horizontally, my shadow dagger easily carves up the vines.

Here goes! Leaving the ground as if it was normal, I shot forward and swung one round before sending all my strength to stab the main body in the centre. Tch not enough! Haaaah~!! Leaving my left hand to exert force into the dagger, I twist my whole torso one round cracking my spine in half to punch the dagger in with my right hand. Vomitting blood, I couldn't feel my legs as I repeatedly punch the dagger in. My hand was in an incredibly messed up state, but I continued.

Punching and punching, I couldn't give up there. The monster had an abnormal amount of patience, maybe it just wanted to see how long I could survive. I'm sorry but my [auto-regeneration] will constantly keep me alive, even reattach my spine. Actual dark eye shadows formed, my body covered in sweat and blood. The blood leaking from my torso had hardened, "forming armour" would be a strange way to put it. Somehow injecting mana into the blood hardened it.

A day went by as red cracks formed in my dead eyes. Tch, tch, tch not now! Why am I loosing strength now!
