Chapter 61 - 8 - meeting

*Woosh*, volleys of arrows fly by as I continue rushing into the cave. After a couple days of grinding, I trained my [mana detection] up to tier-3 and could tell my surroundings enough to dodge the arrows.

This is propably self explanatory but skills become more powerful or efficient as the tier goes up. There are currently 5 tiers in total, each tier matched and varied around a fixed amount of destruction or creation. Tier-1 equals to enough power to kill a small to medium size animal. Tier-2 is enough power to destroy a large animal to a room. Tier-3 is enough power to destroy a small building to a large building. Tier-4 is enough power to destroy a street of buildings to a whole city. Tier-5 is enough power to wipe out a few cities to a kingdom.

Adventurers usually only go up to tier-3 until they hit their maximum level of 600 where they can evolve only a couple of their skills to tier-4 skills. You would need to go above level 600 to actually be able to get more tier-4 skills and tier-5 skills. This meant that only S-rank and possibly higher ranked classes could reach and cross the boundary of tier-5 classes.

From what I know so far, these are the class tiers:

D- Classless, max lv 50

C- job class, max lv 50

B- Advanced job class, max lv 100

combat class,max lv 300

job class, max lv 100

A- Advance combat class,max lv 600

Advance job class, max lv 200

combat class, max lv 600

S- Advance combat class, max lv 900+(?)

class, max lv 900+(?)

From what the rumours say, if you get a rare combat class which has twice the maximum level of a common combat class, the military of the kingdom will recruit you into an elite unit with good pay to train you and evolve you into an S-rank. Some people go further than that and earn the title of noble. It actually takes an extremely long amount of time to level up after level 600, only the classes takes a reasonable amount of time. In fact the class takes a fifth of the same amount of time as an advanced combat class, even though they both could cross over the level 600 barrier.

Anyway, back to the cave. I was conpletely used to dodging the arrows of the skeleton that I sprinted towards them with ease before slicing their bones with my dagger. I couldn't level up as easily as before since the skeletons only varied around level 15 and didn't go particularly higher than that. Deciding it was time I head back, I started walking out of the cave entrance before 2 tall figures completely covered in black clothing came falling from the trees.

Looking closer, both of them were level 500s. What could do possibly want to do with me? Wait that insignia on their daggers...why does it looks so similar to the one on my father's old sword?

"We've come to take you hostage, if you cooperate you won't get hurt...though your farther will." (Black figure A)

What can I even do against someone whose level is 500 above mine?! Running at first sight, I decided to go towards the right side of the cave entrance. Exitting the cave entrance, I kept running without rest. Looking back, the 2 figures were casually running right behind me "GUHA!", giving me a huge shock that made me cough while running.

"We just received a message from our surbordinates, we don't need you any more. We've already taken your father." (Black figure B)

Keeping my guard up, I didn't stop running for a second. "What do you mean! What are you going to do to him! "

"We're just outsiders who were hired, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows that the main family wants to erase Shuu von Vadim, your father, who ran away because he didn't want to fulfill a political marriage with another noble. We won't actually do anything drastic, pretty sure your uncle will be the one to kill him or something to secure being the only son in the family. " (Black figure A)

" So my grandparents still wish for my father to do the marriage, while my uncle once to kill him? "

" Oh, they're dead. Your uncle is the head of your noble lineage but the other family wants your father for marriage instead." (Black figure B)

" They're dead... Don't tell me h-"

" Wow, you're smart for a 7 year old. Yep, your uncle most likely killed them just to have the power as the head of the family. Honestly, we didn't think you would train at a cave and just started screaming when you see our scary outfits. "(Black figure B)

" You're outifts aren't scary, just creepy and ugly. It looks like it would be very hot under all those layers. "

".... There's magic circles engraved to cool down the inside a little. "(Black figure A)

" That's not the point! What the hell can a seven year old even do in this situation! This is so unfair! "

" All you can do is run away, I guess." (Black figure A)

" Well that's not working right now! You guys are casually having a conversation while I'm triying to run for my life! "

" We could fake your death. "(Black figure B)

" Even if I could survive on my own, I'm too weak to fight my uncle, he probably has a high ranking class too."

" All we can do is help fake your death. Everything from here on would be your choice to make. "(Black figure A)

"Even so, why should I trust you?"

"It's fine for you to check your house and ask your mother, your uncle won't be there. Both groups handling the kidnappings are from my guild, they would understand when they see you." (Black figure B)

Opening the entrance of my home, it was the evening yet the lights were off. "... "

Continuing to walk, I see my mother depressed and laying on the couch in the living room. Checking every room, what they said was true. The party of adventurers dressed in all black were waiting outside. "I'm sorry mum, I'll have to go." I've decided. Even if they were to returned my father, they have made an enemy. One day they will pay greatly. Walking outside my house with a grim impression, my eyes matched those of my previous live's, dead. Looking straight at the party leader, I declare.

"My uncle's head. It will be mine."

At that point Emily was only level 21,yet she gave off an aura of a level 600 veteran warrior to the party. No it was something even higher than that, something that should not have been provoked, a time bomb that has successfully exploded.
