Chapter 78 - 30

Francis

I woke up. Pain on my whole body. Groggy. Still groggy. I try to get up, but I heard a baritone voice of the man that I hated most, telling me to lie down. I adjust my bed into recline from the remote control next to me.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him coldly.

If it wasn't for his son I wouldn't be here. I should be with my wife and my daughter taking care of them and asking for my wife's forgiveness.

"I'm still your father, Francis."

"You are just a biological father," I told.

"How are you feeling? You need anything at all?"

"I just need you to never show up again. Not even your family."

"I know that I've been a very bad father to you. I know that you still couldn't forgive me. But I wanted you to know that I never stop loving you as my son. And I am proud of you. You are the most responsible man that I ever have known. You are most responsible than I never been."

"Please leave," I mutter. He stood.

"I won't bother you again. Thank you for saving your brother. This means a lot to me." The door opens and mom smile at me and then her smile faded and turns into casual toward my father.

"Franco," my mother acknowledged.

"Elizabeth."

"Good to see you, finally talking to your son." She said with her usual British accent. He didn't say a thing.

"He's leaving, mum. Let him." She nodded with a smile. He did leave and mom bent to me and kisses my cheek, then throw her arms around me.

"I didn't know that you undergo an operation." Her words cut to me, I give her worries and pain again. I never told her about it, because I don't have time.

"I'm good, mum. How are my wife and daughter?"

"Althea is great. The doctor said that Natalie could walk around, she'll be fine."

"Are we able to have another?" I asked her. She grinned at me.

"Of course. There are few complications but the doctor said that you both could plan for another accident." I rolled my eyes.

"Then could you ask the doctor to move me to her room?"

"I already did, and the doctor said that you are good as a wrestler."

I was moved to the room of my wife and could see our baby. I wanted to hold it but still the doctor's told me that I shouldn't force myself. I sat beside my wife's bed and kisses our baby's small fragile head. The baby scent was enticing, and she is so beautiful as my Natalie.

"Where have you been?" she asked coldly.

"Seb needed a quick transplant. Sorry." I kiss her nose and she didn't even smile or what. I caress her hair. "Sorry I couldn't take care of you and Althea. These past few days."

"We will soon leave the hospital."

"Can we talk?" She looked at me in the eyes, looking all in pain. "Baby," I scoop her cheek. "I just don't want you to feel so stressed and so anxious about something." A tear fall from her eyes.

"I thought you don't love me."

"Oh, I do. I always love you."

"Then why do you have to bribe them?" I caress her hair, wipe away her tears, and brush my lips on her nose.

"I know how they take advantage of you. I know a few parts of your past. I just—I just don't want them to treat you like that."

"You can't do something like that with money. I don't want you to ever do that again just to fix things. Money isn't the solution to everything. I know that they've been so bad to me but don't waste it to fulfill them."

"Natalie, I know that. What should I do then? I hate to see you in pain, I hate to see you even worried over them who never even care for you. I would do everything just to protect you and our daughter. Even it cost me a lot." She held her sobbed and sniffled.

"Oh, Francis, please, please don't do it again."

"I'm sorry." I wipe her tears and kiss her lips. "They won't bother us. Okay? I'll fix this myself."

"Not with money."

"Not with money." I obey her. I don't want her to worry too much. "I love you. Okay? Don't ever think that I never did. I love you and I love our little angel." I wipe her tears. "When we get home, I'll take care of you and Althea. So never worry anything at all." She nodded.

"Don't spoil me too much." That just melts my heart. I smile at her, my eyes burn to her with passion, love, and desire.

"Oh, Natalie. That's my job. Spoiling you is one of my jobs." I kiss her brows. "Forgive me, okay?"

"I forgive you."

We both got discharged and I am fully recovered and can even push a wheelchair carried my daughter and other things. I saw Bernie on our way and all I do is to ignore him. I don't want any bad thing happened on our way to our home.

It seemed that Colt even threw a little party for the welcoming back of us. Mom is there and Maeve as well as Zac with their newborn and the twins. Travis and Warren became their babysitter since the twins are super hyper.

I carried our little angel to the nursery room to show her what I ask Colt and Warren to do. It was so beautiful. The ceiling is full of luminous stars and moon. The walls are decorated with flowers and luminous animals and others. There's a comfortable bed cradle like that I ask personally for the decoration. Comfortable sofa and lights and all.

"It's beautiful." She smiled at me. She put down the sleeping Althea on the crib-bed and she embraced me.

"I will spoil Althea next." I kiss her nose. "There's a nanny cam and baby speaker monitor."

"That's great. But Althea still needed to sleep with us."

"Of course." Caress her hair and her enticing scent together with the baby scent from Althea relaxes me. "Althea needed twenty-four-seven guarding and monitoring." We went downstairs and let Althea sleep while I install the speaker around the house so we could monitor her.

I skim her still swollen stomach. She's been bleeding badly, and I keep myself close to her if there's anything she needed. Maeve is with her already sleeping son and I told Zac that they could use the nursery room. Since Althea's bed is wide, there are still rooms for another two babies.

"Who's next to get married?" I asked and we all look at Colt and Elise who has been arguing over something.

Those two are dumb and perfect for each other.
