For those who've never seen an orthrus before, it is a golden-furred, two-headed canine shadow beast with extremely sharp fangs and claws plus a tail as long and deadly as a scorpion's stinger. It should also be said that an orthrus is roughly the size of a car.
So, to have one take a bite at you would be akin to having your body squashed in the vice-like grip of a trash compactor, which is exactly what Argonaut's body must be experiencing as one of the orthruses had both of its jaws clamped on both of his shoulders. Not only did this look like it hurt, but it also put the team's tank in a grappled state.
Luckily, the eldritch champion's [BULWARK OF THE CHAMPION] kept him from bleeding out or suffering too much damage from the orthrus' bites.
Now, for the two people behind him, one of them being Black Howler, Argonaut's predicament basically meant their infiltration plan had failed miserably.
