Gruimbart was situated in the western part of the wetlands, where a massive dam existed—arguably the greatest hydraulic engineering project of the ancient gods. Its existence intercepted a substantial amount of snowmelt from the towering mountain ranges.
It not only improved the environment of the wetlands, allowing the area to become a small-scale food production site, but also diverted the intercepted water to another map, alleviating water scarcity therein.
Dwarves had always taken pride in this, yet the division among the three dwarf tribes had already weakened their control over the area.
However, after the Orc Wars, the dwarves became even more weakened, and key strategic locations on various maps were occupied by monsters or corrupted orcs, resulting in the dwarves completely losing control over the area.
The Dragon Throat Clan had taken over the place, and Gruimbart, the city, had utterly become a stronghold of the Dragon Throat Clan orcs.
