Chereads / Reincarnation: I Am The Boss / Chapter 24 - Secret Guest

Chapter 24 - Secret Guest

When the Reincarnation Pool was upgraded to level 2, there was a level 2 [Life Halo].

[Life Halo] was an automatic [Halo] skill. When the [Halo] effect was turned on, all the team members within the radius of 91 meters would recover by 100 HP. When one's health was less than 10%, it would trigger a 3-minute cooldown [Heal] effect and the health bar would immediately recover to 25% of its limit.

As a person who previously owned the Heart Of Nature and utilized the Goddess Contract numerous times, Mohai knew the details of the Goddess Contract very clearly.

When the Goddess Contract was signed with a monster, the player would be considered both a player and a monster. However, the Goddess Contract was more biased towards the monster. As long as the monster agreed, the player would be a party member. Otherwise, the player would be removed from the party.

By using this unique point in the Goddess Contract, Mohai activated the [Life Halo] when he passed the El Staff to WhiteNightFirefly.

The [Heal] effect in [Life Halo] was triggered and WhiteNightFirefly's health immediately recovered by 25%.

As WhiteNightFirefly got the El Staff, Mohai got the Deep Dark Originite, and the Goddess Contract's effect disappeared. Then, WhiteNightFirefly was no longer affected by the [Life Halo], causing her to die without even knowing how her health increased.

However, the sacrifice of Mohai's actions utilized whatever was left of the Magical Crystal.

Activating the [Life Halo] effect of the Reincarnation Pool required a tremendous amount of magic, so it was only possible with the addition of the Magical Crystal.

Initially, Mohai did not plan to activate the [Life Halo] of the Reincarnation Pool since the [Halo] effect was negligible to him because the effect of the Magical Crystal was greater.

Nevertheless, in order to ditch The Richest guild, it was worth the price.

Although the Magical Crystal was precious, its purity was only 30%. Once he finished utilizing it, he could ask for more from Rexus, the old tortoise.

After The Richest retreated, four of the bandit leaders remained. All of them were looking at Mohai silently.

"Come over here. This is where the Magical Spring Water is located."

He smiled at the four bandit leaders and drew a map on the ground for them.

These four bandit leaders were enticed by Mohai who brought 13 henchmen to the Monolith Stronghold to get them to put on a show. Since not many bandit leaders knew where the Magical Spring Water was now, he used its location as a bargain to persuade the four bandit leaders.

However, he knew that his persuasion of them had a lot to do with the rumors about him. Otherwise, these bandit leaders would not have batted an eyelid.

The four bandit leaders memorized the map and left one by one.

Mohai did not tell them that knowing the location was only the first step. After all, it was not easy to get the Magical Crystal from Rexus.

After more than an hour, it was nightfall in the game and a new day began.

Before it got dark, Mohai brought 13 henchmen to kill some players to level up, and a few recruits who were level 8 bandit goons were upgraded to level 9.

Mohai was preparing to move at midnight. There was no level 2 Reincarnation Pool in the new place, so he had to recruit 15 henchmen. Otherwise, he would not be able to recruit anyone with a level 1 Reincarnation Pool.

Thinking of that, Mohai took out a Black Bear Spirit Elite Soul.

Mohai did not have any experience recruiting with an Elite Soul since it was his first time doing so.

However, he did not worry too much about it. Then, he put the Black Bear Spirit Soul, a piece of black iron ore, and ten pieces of iron ore into the Reincarnation Pool.

He took it as an accumulation of experience. After a long while, he had to start from scratch.

Taking advantage of his low level, the price to pay for accumulating experience was still low. Of course, Mohai need not hesitate.

When the Black Bear Spirit and the iron ores were thrown into the Reincarnation Pool, Mohai accidentally discovered another option that appeared in front of him. 'A bandit goon has sensed your summoning. Are you recruiting?'

"Huh?"

Previously, Mohai had recruited a dozen bandit goons, but there was never an option.

Did the utilization of the Elite-level soul cause the monster to initiate a response?

Yes!

Mohai did not hesitate and recruited the bandit goon.

The black pool of water sloshed and a bandit goon crawled out of the Reincarnation Pool.

Mohai launched the bandit goon's attribute window and was stunned. That was a level 8 bandit goon!

However, that was not the focal point. The key point was that he saw a Loyalty 1 attribute!

When he took a closer look, Mohai saw 2 familiar things about the bandit goon.

This bandit goon had been killed after leveling up to level 8! Even his serial number was the same!

'So, this is what turned out!' A flash glimmered in Mohai's eyes and he understood.

He finally knew the effect of Loyalty. The bandit goons who had Loyalty could be summoned from the Reincarnation Pool again after they were dead!

The Black Bear Spirit Soul had an effect too. The newly recruited bandit goon no. 8 had the same ability as the Black Bear Spirit's Enraged mode. Therefore, his health bar was increased to 1,500 HP. His attack and defense were also increased from its original value by half.

However, Mohai was still unsure about whether the Black Bear Spirit Soul was the reason behind the dead bandit goons.

He did not think too much about it and just threw the materials and Black Bear Spirit Soul into the Reincarnation Pool again.

More than one bandit goon died the day before, but this time, the recruited bandit goon that crawled out of the Reincarnation Pool had a new serial number: no. 17.

Bandit goon no. 17 was on level 9 and his skill attributes were similar to that of no. 8.

This confirmed Mohai's speculation.

Loyalty was no doubt an excellent attribute. Apart from the equipment that the newly recruited dead bandit goons left behind, there were no other losses due to death. As long as some time was spent upgrading the level of the henchmen, they would not be mere casualties but would have combat abilities instead.

Discovering this early was a great reward to Mohai.

If just the Black Bear Spirit was used for recruitment, the attributes would not meet Mohai's expectations.

He hoped to recruit some mutants that had special abilities. That would make certain things much more convenient.

However, Mohai knew it was not that simple.

As far as he knew, the Elite-level souls could recruit mutants, but the materials and formulas for that would also have to be specific. By simply tossing some iron ore materials to recruit a mutant, it was almost like winning the grand prize of a lottery.

Now that he was left with one Black Bear Spirit and two Black-robed Ritualists' souls, Mohai wasted nothing, especially the latter. He predicted that if he merely tossed some iron ore in, he feared that he would recruit some abnormal and useless freaks.

After all, recruiting magical henchmen would require magical ingredients.

"Roar! This is my territory!"

In the dark and silent night, in the deepest corner of the Monolith Stronghold beside the Magma Zone, a bandit leader looked viciously at a group that had broken into his territory.

"Haha, don't be angry. I'm sure you know my name. I'm not here to fight but to exchange a place with you. I have a level 2 Reincarnation Pool there and you'll definitely gain from it," Mohai said to bandit leader no. 19 with a chuckle.

Not to mention the 15 high-level henchmen he had with him, he could easily kill bandit leader no. 19 even if he had no one with him.

However, Mohai was not interested in doing something that would bring him no benefit and would probably have a negative impact.

"A Level 2 Reincarnation Pool? Do you really want to do that?"

Upon hearing about the level 2 Reincarnation Pool, bandit leader no. 19 became restless.

"Of course, I'm a man of my words. If you want it, decide now and head over there. Otherwise, I'll find someone else."

"No problem. I'll bring my men over now!"

The Level 2 Reincarnation pool was immensely enticing, so bandit leader no. 19 did not question Mohai's reason for giving up the precious level 2 Reincarnation Pool.

Even if he knew the reason, bandit leader no. 19 would not have rejected him.

Unlike Mohai, death did not frighten them.

Bandit leader no. 19 left gleefully with his henchmen as Mohai's henchmen patrolled the surroundings. Then, he rested. After having run around for the entire day, he would need a decent rest to prepare for the next day.

Mohai woke up after resting for about 4 hours. It was daylight and many players were out for leveling.

15 henchmen not including the new recruit only had a bit more experience until they could generate Loyalty.

After investing so much equipment and tirelessly leveling them, Mohai naturally would not want them to just die and disappear. Therefore, he brought his henchmen to kill players for leveling early in the morning.

As the saying went, the early bird would catch the worm. The players who went out early in the morning had no idea that they were the worms.

Leading his henchmen around, Mohai killed a few hundred players in one go.

Even the newly recruited bandit goon no. 17 that took him 4 hours to train until level 10 had developed the Loyalty attribute. With that, all of the 15 henchmen developed the Loyalty attribute, so they did not need to be afraid of dying anymore.

These 15 bandit goons seemed to understand that too. They were exceptionally heroic in battle, and with the equipment that Mohai gave all of them, they basically fought with ease like a hurricane that was passing through.

Some well-informed players in the Monolith Stronghold already knew the existence of the group of exceptional bandit goons, so they dared not dwell too deep.

"That's interesting...a monster that gives up his benefit to change his territory. I'm more and more curious about this bandit leader."

In the afternoon, a group of players went to the den that Mohai had moved out from the previous night.

The lady sorcerer smirked as she looked at the empty bandit den.

Beside her was a little loli with pigtails.
