"What are you?" She repeats the question as she takes a step toward him. Her predatory eyes study him coldly.
After a moment of silence, he questions her back. "What do you think I am?"
"I know that you are human but you aren't ordinary." She scowls at him, annoyed by his calmness. "You have been pretending to be ordinary."
No ordinary human can move like that. Certainly, no human can jump from that height and survive without a wound on his body.
"That birdie must have said something to you." Sin Jeong-Hyuk stares at her face. "I guess I am not ordinary. Who can jump like that?"
She creases her forehead. His dark eyes seem amused. There's a slight smile on his face. She can't tell whether he's teasing her or mocking her.
"I will tell you why." He bends down his waist, reaching her eye level. Looking into her inky-black eyes, he tells her with a husky voice, "Do you want to hear the reason?"
