Ye Jing-e pauses. They have walked out of the forest. Now, only the desert is stretched out in front of him. The full moon is clear in the sky, but the stars are missing.
"Where are we?" He asks Pew Pew.
"Pew." the reply is short and urging. "Pew."
Pew Pew wants him to continue to story, but Ye Jing-e is weary. He wants to see Chicken right now. He questions the little sapling, "Are you taking me to Chicken?"
"Pew."
"But I can't sense her anywhere." Ye Jing-e frowns. Somehow, he recalls deeper details from his past. Many memories have been in a fog for a long time. Maybe it is the effect of time. He's been on the train, visiting different worlds. How long has it been since he was born? His first bride died. But he nearly forgot about his second bride. Right now, he can't even remember her face.
"Pew."
Little Sapling is understanding.
