Doctor Feng examined He Lixue. When he touched the wound on her face, she flinched slightly, but she did not say anything. Seeing her putting up such a strong front, both Doctor Feng and Lu Nanfeng felt distressed for her.
"Young Master, don't worry, she is fine," he said after examining He Lixue thoroughly. "Her body is weak and can't handle too much stress, but thankfully nothing happened this time."
Lu Nanfeng's face finally looked slightly better, and he nodded his head. "What happened out there?" he asked He Lixue curiously.
"The secretary refused to let me see you," He Lixue said matter of factly. "She refused to announce my arrival; she did not even bother to hear what my name or purpose was, so I opened the door to your office on my own.
"Who would have thought that she had the audacity to slap me because of that."
"Why did you not block it?" Lu Nanfeng asked, feeling distressed for her whenever he saw the handprint on her cheek.
