"*sigh* Though after saying all that I will still check on that room to see if anyone is alive there or not," Matt said as he sighed.
"What!? Why?" asked Mike.
"Well until and unless it's something that doesn't endanger my family and friends, I believe I won't have any problems doing it," Matt explained.
"So since it's not dangerous to check in that room you will do it," said Rose.
"That's right!" Matt said, "Now I will be going in that room to check on the people's there so you guys relax"
"Wait, Matt let me follow you!" Mike said.
"Huh! Why?" Matt said, "Didn't you understood a word I said?"
"No I know you want to keep us safe but you can't be the only one to always take the risk, and I am sure I would be able to help you," Mike said.
"Hmm.... well it will be good for you to gain some experience," said Matt as he walked towards the front door followed by Mike.
As the two of them came out of the room and into the hallway the walked towards the end of it where his Grizzly bear was laying lazily and beside him was room 110.
Matt used the Master card to open the door and signaled Mike to stay behind him and pay attention.
The two of them entered the room and Matt could immediately smell the foul smell of the zombies from it along with noise made by the zombies.
Mike who was behind Matt was also able to smell the yucky toxic smell of the zombies and gripped the handle of the ax tightly with both his hands.
The two of them entered the living room only to see a group of zombies feasting on a body of a few years old child while another zombie was clawing on the door, most probably trying to open it. Matt saw red and was ready to attack when he sensed someone on his right and turned his head to see the two old men he saw the first time when he was warning everyone about zombies, have now turned zombie lunging towards him and Mike.
Knowing that Mike won't be able to react on time Matt kicked him on his stomach throwing him back as he jumped back and slashed his American black eagle cutting the hands of the two old zombies.
"Arg...gaah" came the voice from their mouth gaining the attention of the other group of zombies feasting on the child while the other one still continued to scratch the door.
Even with them losing their hands the two old zombies didn't stop and continued moving towards him and now the other group of zombies were coming for him from his left as well.
"MATT!" shouted Mike as he saw Matt dodging the attack from the two zombies and getting cornered by no less than 6 zombies and ran towards him to help him.
Matt was already angry after seeing the zombies feasting on the little kid and couldn't control himself any longer. As both the parties of zombie jumped towards him with their jaws open ready to bite him to death, he disappeared from there appearing behind the two old zombies and with a single swing, he removed their head from their bodies.
But he wasn't finished, before the other zombies could even react, he disappeared once again appearing behind them and with 4 more swings four heads fell down to the ground.
Seeing that Matt was fine Mike sighed in relief only to be scared in the next second as the other zombie that was scratching the door was now right behind Matt ready to jump on him.
Before Mike could even warn his friend, Matt twisted his body so fast that Mike felt wind hitting on his face. Matt's American Black Eagle kukri did what it was best at doing and removed the head of the last zombie from his shoulders.
Mike was surprised, as he couldn't believe that the person standing in front of him was his best friend Matt. He knew that Matt was a little more agile then him but that's not what he saw. In front of him, Matt killed 7 zombies with 7 swings of his kukri within 30 seconds and that too without breaking any sweat.
Mike wasn't sure if that was even humanely possible and the only way he could think that it was possible was that the mutant animal meat must have increased Matt's body strength as well.
"Matt! Are you alright?" Mike asked when he saw Matt wasn't reacting at all.
Seeing that Matt wasn't reacting to his question, Mike waked to him and shook him a little but even then Matt didn't react.
Matt didn't react to anything because he was currently living memory of his previous life where he had done some things to take care of his niece and nephew.

Past Life Incident
"Please please you have to save my daughter! Just take her with you. She is a 4-year-old girl and hasn't even lived her life" said a woman who was on her knees bowing her head while holding her child. The woman was really beautiful and in normal circumstances, there was no way anyone would have been able to stop himself from saving her and her daughter. But it had been three years since the apocalypse started and no one would go out of their way to save someone.
The woman was begging to none other than Matt who had tied his niece and nephew on his back and front after knocking them with a sleeping medicine so that they don't cry or make a sound.
Even though they were 7 years old and were already a little used to this Apocalypse but that didn't mean Matt would make it much harder for them.
"I am sorry! I can't! I need to protect my kids and you know what the army said. There is a horde of mutant animals coming from the east and another horde of zombies many of which have already mutated from the north. I won't be able to protect my kids properly if I took your daughter with me as well" Matt said.
"No please I-I will do anything! Any-Anything you want just take my daughter with you!" cried the women.
"I am sorry but I can't," Matt said as he shook off the women and ran away.
"No wait please wait..."
