Chapter 3 - Buying Weapons

Entering the store he walked towards the reception table and pointed at the picture of a Gurkha Kukri shown in their catalog "I want this kukri"

The one that Matt pointed at was none other than the American Black Eagle.

Among the best selling kukri knives, the American black eagle kukri knife has the most significant design in terms of the blade. The grind part of this Black eagle knife blade is fully tempered and the edge part of this knife is wider than other kukri knives. This knife has a gripper for more grip on the index finger. The front part of the handle is designed to give extra protection to the user. Pure buffalo leather is used while making the scabbard of this knife.

The receptionist nodded her head and brought out a case that had an American Black Eagle in it, opening the case she showed the Kukri to Matt.

The Kukri was great, it had sharp edge enough to even cut his finger when he just touched it but it wasn't what he was looking for.

"It's good, but I want a custom made Kukri if possible," asked Matt.

"Yes, it is but it will cost you more" stated the receptionist.

"No problem!" Matt said the turned his head towards the door behind the reception table and started t list out the specifications for his American Black Eagle Kukri.

"These are the specifications, tell me how much will it cost," said Matt after explaining the specifications to the receptionist but he didn't get any reply as she was stunned silent.

"That's a top-level Kukri you want young man! Can I ask the reason you are asking for such a Kukri" said a man as he opened the door behind the reception table?

That man was none other than Carl himself, standing at 6.2 feet he looked like a bouncer but he was a man with a great heart. Though Matt didn't get to meet him in his previous life because he was a great deal in the apocalypse but he did hear about him and none of the things he heard were bad so he respected the man in front of him for that.

"Nothing much, I have been staying at home for such a long time that I decided to go trekking in a jungle and wanted to buy a knife and since I am buying one then why not have a custom one just for me," replied Matt.

Carl knew that was not all true as the knife he was asking have stopped been used by special forces due to its heaviness and the extensive training needed to use that type of knife, more importantly, this knife was only used by the fierce old hunters but he didn't care, he liked the young man in front of him because of his knowledge of knives which matched the professional hence he would make one for him, "It will be 150$ and will take a day to be made"

"OK, then here is the advance payment. I will come tomorrow to take it" said Matt as he shook hands with Carl and left the store with a smile on his face.

The next stop for him was an old store in an inconspicuous alley, looking at the store Matt entered inside and found another familiar face from his previous life in front of him. It was his brother-in-arms 'John Williams', son of retired Special force officer 'Stephen Williams'.

They met in the early stages of apocalypse where they easily became friends and then he got to know that he had a shop here in Cambridge where he sold real guns and ammunition at the right price without asking any question.

John was a 21-year-old boy who liked to rebel against his father hence whenever he was the one who was sitting in the store he would sell the guns without asking many questions. As the door for the store was pushed open he raised his head and saw someone entering the store but when he saw that the person who entered was a young man he stopped caring at once again started to play games on his phone.

Knowing John very well, Matt didn't beat around the bush and straight away asked for what he came for "I want a Desert Eagle of .44 Magnum models, semi-automatic with a silencer as well"

John who heard the specifications raised an eyebrow as he looked at the young man in front of him since it was his first time seeing someone so young who had the knowledge about guns and ammunition, of course, he knew about them from a young age as well as an exception because his father a special force officer who wanted his son to be the same and had trained him from childhood to be one.

Taking out the information form he passed it on to Matt and asked him to fill the form.

"I am sorry but it looks like I forgot my driving license so I don't have any ID proof with me," said Matt.

John smiled at that as he knew what the young man was asking but he couldn't just give it to him without knowing the reason for it even though it may not be true, "What do you want this gun for!?"

"Oh! I was just planning on going for hunting that's all" replied Matt truthfully.

"Huh! If you are going for hunting then shouldn't you buy something like Gulf Remington! Why a Desert Eagle!" stated John.

"My father has one already, I want this just for my own safety that's all" Matt stated.

"Ok, then I can sell it to you but it will cost you much more than the normal price," said John.

"It's fine I would still like to have one" Matt stated.

"As you wish," John said and walked inside a different room and came out while holding a case, "Here a Desert Eagle Mark XIX Pistol, Black, 6"; Barrel, 8 rounds. For 4000$ it is yours"
