Samuel doesn't know how it all escalated to this. The entire den was thrown into chaos as the people shuffled back and forth. The children all had scooted onto the corners, oblivious of what was happening.
It all started with one thing—
A clatter.
"Something happened to the boss!"
One of the troupe members patrolling said he had seen Dayie be taken by the civil guards. He was supposed to trail behind on Dayie, given he would be helping her transport the treasure and the weapons back to the den.
"Why didn't you help her, then?!"
The entire place was thrown into chaos as the arguments began to unfurl.
