She was someone who considered herself as a sly and smart woman…
As opposed to the people's view of her several years ago.
It all started with a girl who was born from a lowly baron—no money; and no name. She was raised in the countryside where the Patriargans considered to be barren wastelands. In that place, only drought awaited. She had never seen the capital, nor she had been into one ludicrous ball. All she had was to stall around the old and shabby castle of her unfortunate family.
And like any other noble who wanted to keep their seemingly luxurious way of living to save face, they borrowed money from every possible guarantor and patrons. Soon, the family drowned into debt.
The one who they owed so much money with—was an old, unmarried noble that had his eyes on her from the start. He wanted compensation, and also, he demanded interest. It was beyond what her family could give.
