In the middle of the night, a shadow lurked near Melissa's room while examining the area with fearful eyes. Then the shadow slowly opened the door without making any noise and entered the room as quietly as possible.
The shadow walked near the bed where Melissa was sleeping and he saw her frown as if she was in great pain. She even had tears flowing from her eyes continuously. He lifted his hand to wipe her tears but then he hesitated for a minute.
"Alex... Alex... come back, please... It's too lonely..." Melissa mumbled in her sleep.
When the slow crying turned into weeping in her deep sleep, he couldn't stop himself from patting her shoulders to comfort her. Once she became quiet, he bent down and kissed the tears away. He then kissed her forehead while caressing her head.
"I have! I have come back to you but I cannot show my face to you yet... I have failed you... I let someone hurt our family," Alex whispered and held her hand.
