They were supposed to hang out and relax at the Liu's Main House tonight, along with the idea of checking up on their friend. But arriving at the third floor brought upon a surprise. Liu Guiren's father stood in the mansion's corridor, effectively blocking the path to Liu Guiren's private study.
It seemed like the man had just finished talking with his son and was about to leave.
He eyed the two of them without any recognition—Gen almost sighed in relief, before the man paused.
"Ah, so he kept this." His gaze flitted past Xiaobo and then stopped at him. "Ah, young man—it's good to see you again. Perhaps the two of us could have a private talk."
A burst of aura shot Xiaobo down the stairs and he heard a loud crash, an explosion even.
Gen barely managed a smile and bowed down to the man, "Master Liu, what can I do for you?"
"I trust that you would be able to continue checking up on my son, it's hard fulfilling parental duties."
