The breeze was soft and gentle as they crossed the river in the complete darkness. It was an unnatural and surreal feeling as they did. Chan Lee would look back into the shores, out of the three people that remained there—only Xue would still be standing at the banks. The wind fluttered his long hair as he faced towards the ship, he was waving a hand.
Watching her leave.
Perhaps she shouldn't have really come along with them.
But it was too late to back out now. She sighed and leaned against the ship's handrails. She looked down at the dark water, where only the slightest glimmer of moonlight splashed against it. Chan Lee inevitably moved away from the handrail, stepping backwards from it as another uneasy feeling settled in her stomach.
She didn't fancy falling down.
"Hey, you okay?" She felt a fist bump on her shoulders and she looked behind her to see Han Jing. The guy asked her with a concerned furrow in his brows.
