It was during the night when the city was most alive. Vehicles blared their horns and people bustled along the street as they shuffled their way back from their offices, universities and other buildings and returned to their homes or headed off to somewhere else. One could look at glimmering stars all they want but the city itself was bright and grandiose with neon-lights, streaming giant televisions on buildings as they made their way across the intersecting parts of the metropolis.
The strong gust of wind was unordinary.
Something pricked the back of her neck as a familiar moment came once again and she snapped her head up and gazed at her surroundings.
Empty.
Devoid.
