"WHAT THE HELL?" Sarah's mind was a mess, she wasn't sure what to do. Any young girl had fantasized about a charming young man to come in and sweep her off her tail and marry her, but they never expected it to HAPPEN!? While her father and Caepron argued, her mind went down a funnel of chaos that did not have an end. She was so shocked and happy that she missed the whole conversation around her, and didn't pay attention till Caepron looked back at her face.
"Will you marry me?" She was stunned. When are young women ever ready for this question, like ever? She blinked and got slightly teary-eyed, unsure of what to do. The young man kneeling in front of her was very handsome, he was a leader, he was strong, pretty much everything that a young woman would want. She sat there looking into his eyes, bright sky blue, She honestly didn't know what to do, but if she was being asked to marry someone, the young man in front of her was a pretty good choice. "Yes".
Caepron wasn't sure why, but he was happy, so happy that he could literally fly. He approached the young Naga woman and picked her up princess carry style. She pulled the hood back over her head and tucked her head into Caepron's chest. Caepren then led the way back to the village, taking all these people with them on the trek back. They made it to the village, where the natives came out to look at the conquered tribe. The naga was surprised because instead of this village being entirely one group, it was a mix-up of different humans, from shorter people to literal giants, which the village head assumed Caepron was a part of and not a normal human. Caepron led everyone to the village center, where he asked some of the village boys to gather the rest of the people here. Old Lui and the rest of the leadership followed up and stood behind Caepron.
"Everyone, we have come back with new friends, treat them well, for they are one of many who will later join us in growing our people and nation." There was some murmuring in the crowd after this statement, and Caepron waited several seconds before he continued to speak. "I want everyone to be patient and understanding with the naga, for they are now a part of us, as will many in the future. So, in preparation for more people to join us, whether by conquest, submission, or spawned in, we will prepare going forward with that in mind. Tomorrow, Old Lui will give out tasks to the builders and gatherers. Make sure to work hard and efficiently, because we will need it. That will be all."
Old Lui, along with Thomas, Gus, Jerry, Shellyce, Renna, and Galvin. They, along with the village head, and his two trusted aides, followed Caepron, who was still carrying Sarah, into the town hall. After everyone entered the building, Caepron sat down in the big chair with Sarah in his lap. She hid her face inside her hood and tried to tuck herself into a ball. Everyone then sat down at the large round table that was placed in front of Caepron's High throne chair.
Caepron looked around the room and waited for everyone to sit down. "Thank you everyone for gathering so quickly. We have several things we need to discuss and plan. After today's expedition, I realize that we have lacked forethought in several areas, and we need to replan the future growth and layout of our village and nation." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement at Caepron's statement. Old Lui coughed slightly and stood up. "Your majesty, according to the new citizens that you have brought in, we should redesign the housing and road designs originally planned out." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement to this, as the designs originally agreed upon, did not anticipate nonhuman inhabitants. After several hours of nonstop discussions, Old Lui stood slowly back up and addressed Caepron. "Your Highness, may I ask who the young lady in your lap is?" Caepron looked at Lui and smiled. "She is my wife!" "WHAT????"
