"Today, you lose everything you once had." Alisha decreed before smirking. She hit a number on her phone. "Take the data." Her order left a cyber attack on James' network that he couldn't recover from. It was over for him, there was no chance of return.
"How could you have made so much money in such little time?" He suddenly questioned. He stared at the girl, no, the woman, in front of him with greed.
"Two years ago, before anyone else could, I bought every bitcoin available. Even since then, I have been keeping track and have the largest collection of bitcoins the world has ever seen. You should know their worth and how easy it is to succeed when you have enough money. Oh James, you should have been a better man. You should have filled your life with love rather than the hatred you swallow yourself into. You ruin everything you touch and you will continue to do so until the day you die because that's simply the kind of disgusting man you've turned out to be." Her words barely affected him as his greed didn't disperse even for a second. He had to think of a way out even if there wasn't one.
"Did you ever even love me?" Alisha stared at her father, her eyes glazed, wondering if he ever did.
"Love? Why is everyone so hung up on love? What even is love? It's something everyone tells each other to try and hide the doubts and lies you've woven. Love is something the weak yearn and the powerful exploit. It simply does not exist." His laugh echoed through the screen, sending chills through the four in the room's spines.
"Kill him." Eliza screamed, killing the silence as anger turned her vision red. Her order killed was absolute and it was clear no one could change reality as a bullet ran through his head, betrayal in his eyes as his beloved child was the one that murdered him. Betrayal and perhaps what was truly love, the only love he would ever be able to manage.
The Senator sucked in a breath and let out an awkward laugh. "He's dead. Your father, your uncle, he's dead." He stated the obvious as the three women stared at him, equally shocked. "You killed him." His shocked words resounded through Eliza.
"No, I killed him." Alisha interrupted. "This plan was mine, even if you gave the order. My intention was never kind. You simply pulled the trigger, I did everything else. His blood is on my hands, not yours." She squeezed her sister's hand as tears fell from Eliza's eyes. She shot a glare at Chris who was still in shock. Annabelle grinned sadly as the two women held Eliza.
Alisha stared at the stars outside her window, she realised that she had done everything she could. She had stopped everything bad from happening and found a happier ending for herself than she thought possible. However, Eliza wouldn't be the same after this. She wondered how her actions would further change everyone's future.
She hadn't felt anxious in a while, the last two years had been smoother than she could have anticipated. She was at the top of the social ladder now and no one could touch her but she had a gnawing feeling, as if fate's claws had finally found her neck. A warm hand touched her shoulder and the anxiety subsided, her head leaned into the hand and his lips graced the top of her head. She had her people, no one was going to leave her now. She won't let it happen, not again. The naive, broken girl had been replaced with a tornado of a woman, someone that paved her own fate and life, destroying everything that came in the way.
