lyra was busy playing with the cubs the whole day in the garden ,when harvey asked her to come inside and go to sleep,but lyra was not willing to.
stephen just reached the smith's residence ,after discussing with peter about his work he asked peter to leave and he was about to enter the house when he heard his grandfather calling him.
" oh steve you are back? come here ".stephen called him.
" grandpa what are you doing here ? it's so late now lets get inside"steve was worried
" i just came here seeing lyra sleeping here"stephen said pointing at lyra, who was sleeping soundly on the bench with the two tigers in her lap ".
steve coudnt see her face clearly but he could say her skin was as white as milk."steve just help her get into her room i don't want to disturb her sleep"stephen said while taking the cubs in his arms.
steve lifted lyra up ,she was as light as a balloon, he didn't feel her weight at all ."and her room is the guest room beside your room just help her upstairs i will take these cubs with me we will talk after you come "stephen left after taking the cubs.
while steve was carrying lyra , he felt like he was carrying a kid, she was sleeping soundly in steve's arms, she didn't even notice that someone is carrying her,she was such a carefree girl.
steve laid her on her bed and covered her with a blanket, he sat beside her and was looking at her deeply she was going to be his wife starting from tomorrow,he didnt know how to take care of someone until today,he neither had sibling's nor a girlfriend ,so how should he take care of this girl lyra , what exactly he should do ?, steve was lost in thought's , he never had to think so much about anything in his life , thinking all these steve switched off the lights in her room and went out.
when he went to his grandpa's room he saw him standing in the balcony,so he went to him.
" so how is your work steve do you need any help?" stephen asked steve.
" no i don't need any help in work but i need you help in something else" steve asked stephen .
" oh so my grandson who don't know how to ask help of other's is asking me for help i must have heard wrong"stephen was utilizing the opportunity to tease steve. " grandpa you ased me to take care of lyra so i thought i will ask you about it but if you don't want to , i will have to depend om myself then"steve did't care."you ,you forget it i cant fight with myself and you are more than me now, so what do you want to ask?"stephen asked.
" how excatly should i fulfill my responsibility as a husband?" steve had no idea of what a husband is he was with his parent till his high school but he thought they were like best friends, but the problem is he did't have female friend's so he had no idea on how to deal with a girl.
" there are no suggestions about dealing with married life ,just have faith in each other and try to understand each other,that's all you should figure it out yourself , so basically this is one of the biggest challenge in your life ,but just an advice for you cant loose "stephen said seriously.
"did i ever loose?"stetve said looking at the moon.
"well just say the same thing after 5 or 10 years then i will accept that your words" stephen said smiling.
