simon was looking sad so Stephen immediately said "dont worry I won't let anyone bully her I will take care of her like my own granddaughter I promise I am a man of my word why are you looking at me as if I m going to let her go in a jungle?".
" it is not that she is shy to speak with you or I m doubting you I just don't want you or her to get hurt because she cannot speak we could only find out that her name was lyra after she wrote and showed it claud , I know about your family and your family has high standards for a granddaughter,
lyra is very innocent and I don't think she can handle a big family's responsibility ,and what about your grandson? did you ask him ? can they be happy?I don't want lyra to get hurt and she will not get adjusted easily in other atmospheres "
Stephen looked at Simon with a serious face and said" simon?I just wanted to ask one more question just answer me sincerely ok?"

"what ?" simon was speechless Stephen was creating a serious situation just to crack a joke on him.
"did your brain grow old with you? how did you think I won't accept a girl if she can't speak?,and coming to my grandson he doesn't even know what a girl means, while I kept nagging him about marrige he said he is ok with any one that I select,and about family responsibility I am asking for a granddaughter not a employee for my house i wont even let her to lift a finger ,did you think i built up powerful family just for show I can do whatever I want so there is no need to worry and if you want to ask about my son and daughter-in-law they won't go against me ok ?now say me a reason that I can't make lyra my granddaughter ".
simon was speechless why did he like lyra so much to argue with him but since it is Stephen there was no harm in believing him so he said " ok but let me ask lyra once ok?"
Stephen immediately replied "no need let me talk to her"

when lyra came back she sat beside Stephen and showed him a table in which lyra wrote " hi I am lyra nice to meet you I couldn't greet you in morning because I didn't bring my tab with me sorry"
seeing this Stephen said " it's ok it's ok but since you didn't wish me properly you owe me a favour and you cant say no to that ok ?"
lyra was confused so she wrote a question mark on tab and showed him,Stephen said " i just want to your help for something can you do it for me only you can do it please say yes" Stephen was begging lyra
