Wang Li Tian could still remember the day that Mr. Dragon self-imploded vividly. The words they spoke on that day may have been forgotten, but the Dragon scale left behind by the little boy's best friend will forever remind Li Tian of Mr. Dragon's kindness towards him. The climb towards the Treasury was quiet and peaceful. The playful wind tickled Li Tian's face as it drifted by.
The time it took for an incense to burn went by and the boy in Grey robes had finally arrived at the door step. The Elders that stood by the door were not there at the moment, but it was common sense for anyone to not enter the Treasury even when they were not present. Wang Li Tian walked towards and sat under a blossoming tree that had pink flowers. He was early and the moon has not reached its peak, yet the view was still spectacular.
Wang Li Tian sitting under the blossoming tree with a sword by his side, made him look like a handsome prince awaiting the arrival of the princess. The innocence that was exuberated by boy in robes was covered in a cloak of mystery. Anyone could tell that there was more to the youth than meets the eye.
Soon, the moon finally reached its peak and an elder had suddenly appear a few feet away from Li Tian. Seeing that the Elder in white was here, Wang Li Tian stood up smoothly as he gave the senior a bow in respect.
"Outer Disciple Wang Li Tian greets Elder."
"Mmm. Follow me." The elder nodded before turning his back and beckoning for Li Tian to follow him. The youth obediently tagged along as they walk towards the back of the mountain. There was a path that led upwards even more. Clearly, they were going to ascend to the top. "Do not fall behind."
As they started climbing, with the elder in white at the front, the senior climbed upwards at a leisurely pace. His arms were behind him as he went up without any difficulty. On the other hand, there was a slight grimace on Wang Li Tian's face while climbing higher.
This..was no ordinary mountain. Wang Li Tian thought to himself. There was an invisible spiritual pressure placed on his entire body. Compared to what he had experienced before during the selection test, this was more similar to what he felt in his master's Pressure Array. The movements from Li Tian was more sluggish than the easy-walking Elder. However, Li Tian did not slow down his steps one bit, for he did not plan to fall behind.
The Elder in white raised his eyebrows when he realised that the youth was able to put up with the spiritual pressure. It seems like I should increase the amount of pressure I put on this kid. He clearly can withstand more than I thought.
With a thought, the pressure surrounding the steps further increased by two fold. This time, Wang Li Tian stumbled in his footing. The boy looked up at the Elder that never stopped once. Realising that the distance between the two of them was not shortening, Wang Li Tian decided it was finally time for his to circulate his own aura. For the first part of the climb, he had solely been relying on his strong willpower. However, seeing that the pressure was now unbearable, Li Tian was going to relying on his Cultivation Manual.
With a thought and a flip of the switch in his head, a reddish glow started to spiral and flow outwards from the youth's heart. With every heartbeat, the aura from within spread further and around Li Tian's body. Eventually, Li Tian was able to suppress against the spiritual pressure. He started to skip steps, closing in the distance between him and the Elder.
The senior turned around, only to be surprised again that the young boy was able withstand his spiritual pressure again. To note, this pressure was not achieved from an array, but a result of a powerful cultivation. I have already released forty percent of my spiritual aura and he can follow me without any difficulty? What kind of monster did this academy even pick up?! The elder in white was dumbstruck. He smiled before shaking his head. There was no point in suppressing the boy anymore. That short exchange was enough for him gauge Wang Li Tian's strength.
After the time taken to brew a cup of tea passed, Wang Li Tian and the elder had finally arrived at the peak of the Treasury mountain. What was in front of Li Tian made him raise his eyebrows curiously. There was no house like normal masters and elders, but rather, there was just a large cavern opening. Walking inside, Li Tian realised it was definitely smaller than what Mr Dragon lived, but it was to be expected since the Dragon race Demonic Beast is boasted to be one of the largest creatures in the entire Great World.
Inside, the pressure placed on the boy finally dissipated away and Wang Li Tian was finally able to relax himself.
"Take a seat." The elder in white beckoned for the boy to sit with him by a rugged and rough stone table. It looked like the elder had basically picked a few rocks lying around to make his furniture.
The senior started to make tea for the both of them. Li Tian sat up right, not fidgeting around as he watched the elder. The young boy was clearly not nervous when around those superpowers that were stronger than him. It amused the Elder in white when seeing such an eccentric youth. When the tea was brewed finish, the man poured a cup for his young guest before speaking again.
"So, what was the reason behind you wanting to meet me?"
"I.." Li Tian grasped the stone cup tightly as he looked straight at the elder who was drinking his tea. "I needed to confirm something with Elder."
"Oh? What is it?" The Elder smiled warmly. He awaited for the boy's question patiently, seemingly portraying the aura that he knew what the boy wanted to ask.
"Elder, have you seen the Four Feathered Phoenix before?"
