Chapter 3 - Spirits

The spirits that plague the Citadel have always been a problem and always will be, we built our home in a unfortunate place, but we cannot move the Citadel due to a important excavation close to the Mariana Trench and we cannot loose this advancement, The Scientific council and I have begun the construction of Wards across all of the Citadel but please be warned not to cross land-bridges around this time as Ayakashi will be aggravated as their nests are underneath most districts while the Bulgae will be running to the land-bridges to escape. While Gwishin or your local ghost will be out for blood. I'd advise you make a Jack O' Lantern and Stay in doors.

Signed,

Sandra Edunis

Mayor of Grand District

The streets of the Citadel was full of Jack O' Lanterns, not because of the festivities but as a warning for the spirits. As Bulgae roamed the streets and the Ayakashi in the water.

A young, Korrin Junefyre watched out his window, over the glistening jewel that was Central City, as he saw dark slithering patterns in the water, Ayakashi, his mother had told him. He watched as a large, green-scaled snake slithered to the landbridge, scales peaking over the water making the moonlight illuminate them. He watched with his childish curiosity as the snake approached the Landbridge and slithered on to it. However it had morphed..Into a human? As a Naga shaped creature, half human half snake, Resembling a male with long, dark brown hair and the same, shimmering green scales. 'He' soon joined the precession of spirits making their rounds. A curious part of Korrin then asked a question...What happens when you don't put out a Jack O' Lantern?
