Chapter 110 - Chapter 110 Guilt Of Murder

As they all began to walk back towards the inn they ran into a crowd of lamias. Thomas stared at the crowd for a moment and said "I don't feel like dealing with this." Scarlett glanced at him and said "Just deal with it for a few minutes we're almost back at the inn." Thomas stared at her and said "Easy for you to say you weren't almost killed by a power hungry lamia." As the lamia people turned to look at them Thomas turned around and began to walk away. Scarlett grabbed Thomas by the back of his shirt and said "Your not going anywhere." Thomas sighed and turned back towards the crowd of people as they said "We would like to apologize for those three who caused you trouble." Thomas stared at him for a moment and nervously said "Don't worry about it." The lamia stared at Thomas and said "We will be sure to punish those three accordingly." Thomas turned away as Lily said "But he killed one of them." The lamia stared at Thomas and asked "Is what she says true?" Thomas turned around and glanced at him as he said "It was him or me and I just wasn't gonna let him." The lamia stared at Thomas and said "I am most impressed that you fought and killed our strongest warrior, but even if you dealt with them with ease I still feel as though we owe you." Thomas pointed towards the inn as he said "In that case if you want to repay us can you just make room so we can get to the inn." The lamia man stared at Thomas confused as he asked "Is that all you want?" Ocis grabbed onto Thomas's arm as she said "He may not look it but he is extremely simple." Thomas ignored her as asked "Well what would you recommend since getting to the inn doesn't sound very appealing." The lamia handed Thomas a piece of paper and said "I can give you this spell." Thomas glared at the piece of paper and mumbled "I can't read." Thomas handed the paper to Scarlett and said "It's all yours." Scarlett stared at the paper with amazement as she said "This spell can work wonders on an opponent." As Thomas walked past all of the lamias into the inn the lamia said "This spell is a mental attack." Scarlett stared at the paper and said "So all I have to do is think negative thoughts and transmit them through mana?" The lamia nodded and said "The spell is called guilt of the past and is only learnable by some species, so we apologize if it doesn't work for you." Scarlett stared at the spell and said "I'm a demon so this type of magic should work perfectly fine." Scarlett glanced at Lily and asked "Do you want to give it a try?" Lily nodded and said "Let's see if it works!" The lamia stared at Lily and said "That spell will only work on some one who has killed people." Scarlett glanced at the inn and said "Do you think he'll mind if we try it on him." Lily stared at Scarlett and said "We should try it on him but we can't be seen or else he might get mad at us." Scarlett nodded as Daisy asked "Isn't he gonna be mad when he finds out you've tried the spell on him without his permission?" Ocis stared at Daisy and said "I'm sure they'll find out soon." As they entered the inn they seen Thomas on the bed asleep. Scarlett held out her hand and said "Now we can test the spell." Lily nodded and said "Quick do it before he wakes up." As Thomas woke up he found himself in an empty room. Thomas looked around for a few seconds and asked "Why's it so quiet all of a sudden?" Thomas stood up and said "Honestly I'd hate to go out and cause myself more problems but this silence is kinda annoying." As Thomas walked out of the inn he noticed that the crowd and the others were gone. Thomas glanced around the town and shouted "Hello is anyone else here?" Thomas began to panic as he mumbled "Did something happen to them when I was asleep?" Thomas began to dash around the town at full speed finding absolutely no one. After running around the town for a few minutes Thomas day down by one of the building. As he looked around he felt two hands grab his shoulders. Thomas glanced at his shoulder and seen some pale hands holding onto him. Before Thomas could react the hands pulled him into the wall and his surroundings disappeared into darkness. Thomas looked around panicked as he held his throat struggling to breath. As Thomas looked around he seen nothing until a hand grabbed onto his leg and pulled him down. As he was pulled through the floor he was now able to breath and found himself in the middle of a forest. After looking around for a bit he sat down and mumbled "What the hell is going on?" After thinking for a while Thomas stood up and said "Nope, don't have clue." Thomas began to walk through the forest as he began to call out some names. After calling out Lily and the others names he began to call out random names. As night approached he sat down under a tree and said "Well calling out random names was as useless as calling out their names." Thomas stared up at the sky and said "I wonder where they could be?" As Thomas looked back at the forest he seen countless dead people standing before him. Thomas stared into the crowd and said "What's up with all of you?" The dead people all began to chant "It was you who murdered us, how could you forget, are you really that cold hearted?" After staring and listening to what the dead chanted Thomas realized that he was staring at all of the people he had killed. Thomas stared at them all in shock as he said "It May be hard to believe but, I didn't really want to kill any of you." The dead began to walk towards Thomas as they chanted "If you didn't want to kill us why did you do it without hesitation." Thomas stared at them all and said "I had to, if I didn't you would've." The undead began to grab ahold of Thomas and sink him into the ground as they chanted "One who does not appreciate life shall not live it." As Thomas sunk under the ground a tear fell from his eye as he said "I wish I could prevent it, I wish I could prevent all of your deaths." As Thomas opened his eyes he found himself in the arms of Scarlett and Lily who were hugging him. Thomas rubbed his eyes to get rid of the tears as he asked "What happened?" Scarlett continued to hug Thomas as she said "I'm sorry I used that spell on you." Thomas glanced at her and asked "What happened to all of those people?" Lily glanced at Thomas and said "That was just part of the spell, we wanted to see if it would work, we didn't know it would have such a strong effect on you." Lily let go of Thomas and looked at the piece of paper with the spell on it. After staring at it for a while she said "We're sorry we didn't mean to cause you any harm." Thomas sighed and asked "How long were you using the spell?" Scarlett continued to hug him as she said "It was only active for three minutes but we seen you began to cry around two minutes in and we couldn't wake you and began to get worried." Thomas sat their in Scarlett's arms as he said "I'm fine now, so you can let me go now." Scarlett continued to hold onto him as she said "Just a few more minutes." Thomas glanced at her as he asked "Did you hit your head again?" Scarlett glanced at him as she said "I didn't hit my head you just worried us." Thomas glanced at Lily and asked "What does that spell even do?" Lily set down the paper and said "It enhances the feelings you get from killing someone, in short it makes you feel guilty." Thomas stared at the paper and said "That's quite a pesky spell." Lily stared at Thomas and said "The spell enhances your feelings of guilt, so that means you must feel really bad about it." Thomas stared at her and said "I'd rather not have to kill people, but if I have to I will." Lily stared at him and asked "What's up with that scary response?" Scarlett let go of Thomas and stared him in the face as she said "If your ever having problems just come and tell us." Thomas stared at her and said "What's done is done, you can't really help me with it." Scarlett hugged Thomas once again as she shouted "We can at least try!" Thomas just closed his eyes and smiled as he said "Ok."
