Charlotte's mistress, Madam Susan is a pacist, and loved plants.She and Susan get close the moment they spend time together.She loves Charlotte so much that she makes her personal maid.Charlotte get woken up and brought to Susan.Madam lies sickly in bed.Her eyes close and face pale.Before she can react, the stewardess slaps Charlotte so hard that her right cheek begins burning.Charlotte get stunned from the slap.She want to slap her back but she's the stewardess.
"(Forget it.Shes the stewardess, and angering her might make things more difficult for me later)"
Charlotte swallow her pride and ask her after calming down.
"Did I do something wrong? Why did yo slap me?"
"Funny you'd ask.The lady treats you so well, and you try to hurt her?"
The good relationship of Charlotte and Madam Susan is pretty apparent and enried by many.So it's possible that someone trying to frame Charlotte.
"Why would I harm mistress?There has to be a misunderstanding!"
"The imperial physician has just said that the peach cake you brought today ahd oleander powder.The lady has been poisoned from the cake and still hasn't woken up."cried Yui.
Charlotte feel down after Yui's explanation.Indeed, It was Charlotte who brought the peach cake.Everyone knows Charlotte was a detailed-oriented, and would water the whole process from the very ingredientity serving.
"We are not allowed to touch the food you serve, so what do you, have to say for yourself? "Yui said."Furthermore, the mistress probably has taught you long ago that oleander is poisonous, but none of us know that until a while ago."
Charlotte makes it impossible for her to testify.
"No need to talk to her.Take her down and punish her."replied the stewardess.
"This isn't something you can decide, stewardess.Only the Queen has such authority. "
"There's no need to bother the Royal Highness in here when the proof is right here."said cuts off to Charlotte.
"Yui, You're in a rush to, get me punished.What's going on with that?And you, won't even report something this serious to the Queen."
"We will inform Her Highness tomorrow morning.First thing through is to coff you up!"
Charlotte ignore everything and run right after she break free.Yet she trip and fall forward as soon as she get to the yard.A lamp lights up above her and she see black boots in front.
"What's going on here?"
"Master Zhengyin! This snake has tried to poison the lady.We have all the proof and she about to catch her and send her to get punished!"
"Oh, I already know that!"
Zhengyin extend his hand out to Charlotte.She decide to take his hand and stands up after a quick debate.Her eyes meet with him.
"Master Zhengyin, Charlotte is a snake.Dont let her deceive you!"
"Who's trying to deceive me?The lady has been poisoned and feel unconscious.Yet tou are all trying to cover it up.Do you really think nobody figure out what you're doing? I've already had the whole case solved!"
The whole yard gets quiet As Zhengyin claims he had it solved.Only the falling leaves can be heard.Soon a little steward is brought over.He is so scared he can't even stand and has to be carried by two guards.
"Miss Yui gave me a plate earlier and told me to give it to Charlotte for holding the peach cake, and she instructed me to not tell anyone. "said the Kitchen Steward."I thought the plate looked really nice.I agreed, and she paid me to do it...It's not my fault! I didn't do anything!"
Another guard takes out a bag containing pieces of porcelain.Charlotte take a look and find that it has the same pattern as the plate used to hold the peach cake.
"The color pattern on this plate contains oleander flower.It's very concealed, and only melts when there's enough heat, like a newly baked cake.The plate was dectroyed after this crime Unfortunately, its pretty hard to make something complete disappear in the Palace.Anyone wants to take back their plate?"
"Every single utensil is recorded in this Palace. It's possible the plate was bought in a batch, but its been worked on later.Yui, I remember you, bragging about your painting skills when you first came here."
"Don't you try to frame me, you are the culprit! "
"Master Alexandria, please search Yui's room. I'm sure you can find a lot of painting materials there!"
"I like to paint.What's wrong with having a few painting tools?"
"Nothing wrong with that.But as you wanted me to use the plate.Im sure you worked especially hard on this plate, and the paint you used to color it must still be in your room!"
Zhenyin sends someone to search the room right away.The stewardess kneels down and yells that she's innocent, that Yui's blackmailed her to get rid of Charlotte.
"It was me.I can't believe how faster you get the news,Master Zhengyin."
"Protecting the Palace is my duty.The more they try to hide, the faster I can find out.Capture Yui!"
Everyone who was involved was captured,and Susan wakes up after taking an antidote.Zhengyin wants to leave as everything's Benn taken care of.But Charlotte approach him.
"Thank you Zhengyin."
"You made quite a few enemies in such a short time.You better watch yourself.So you can save me some trouble."
Charlotte's gratefulness was crushed by the last line.
"Fine, I'll watch myself in the future."
The news reaches everyone by the next morning.All of Charlotte's friends congratulate her on the bad guys getting punished at the Court Camp.
"You had no conflict with Yui.Why would she try to frame you, Charlotte?"Dorothy asked.
"I didn't have any conversation with her and didn't exactly come in this point.Maybe she is just jealous to me or that Madam Susan choose me to become her personal maid.I don't think so much after this malicious trap that I've expected after meeting the Great Prince and the First Prince.Maybe a new challenges comes after this one.I will be remain strong as possible and never bad guys win in every situations like this!"
Dorothy remind Charlotte that Yui really did have nothing to do with her.
