The next day.
It's another normal day in school. Listening to the boring lesson of my teacher. looking at my classmate's face. I feel like everyone is on the same page as me. To cure my boredom, I was gaze outside of the classroom and notice the blonde girl yesterday.
Harusaki Alice, First-year student and very popular with boys in her age. She is athletic and has good grades. She is one of the top ten in her year. On top of that, looking at her.
She is pretty cute.
She seems to notice me looking at her and wave her hand. I didn't wave back and turn my head back to my teacher.
"Yeah, she is cute..."
I murmured.
After the boring science lesson. The bell rang and that indicates lunch break. Most of my classmates go out to buy their lunch, while the others remain in their seats to eat their lunch.
Looking at my bag, I notice a horrible thing. I have no lunch. Did I forget my lunch at the table earlier this morning? Also, my money... I didn't have my wallet either. I'm flat broke right now. That means I have to survive a day without food.
And at that moment. In the time I already accept my fate. Suddenly someone opens the door with a slamming sound. A girl that has a lunch box with her and having a fire in her eyes.
"Satome-san! Did you already eat? I made a bento for you!"
It's the girl that promises she will never gonna give up.
Alice goes to my seat and offers the lunch box she made for me.
"Help your self darling..."
Everyone heard her words and shocked.
"Darling?!"
"Eh?!"
I was surprised by her words and look at her face. She is cute and refusing to her seems very rude. Especially to a man like me.
The twin tail girl seems to be having a lunch box and became stiff. She is one of my classmates. She started to vibrate and turn her back away.
And the other boys start crying for being rejected. Seeing Alice already having someone.
I didn't know someone likes Alice in this room. Is Alice became an idol? Is Alice this popular in both males and females? I can't understand but It good that she came, now I can eat lunch.
"Thank you for the lunch but I still can't join you in your light novel-making thing."
"Eh? Then..."
Alice grabs the spoon and starts to feed me.
"... Ahh..."
I eat it because I think there is nothing wrong. I notice that there is a bell pepper and I don't like it so I gave it to Alice.
"Alice, I can't eat Bell pepper, can you eat this?"
"Yeah sure."
I scoop the bell pepper and feed Alice.
Everyone in the class is gaze at me and said:
"Wow, he is really bold too."
My face turns a bit red and pulls my composure.
After lunch, the boring lesson continues and the time flew away so fast and I didn't notice it's already time to go home. I'm still not used to many people so I decided to wait until only a few people are left in school.
The moment I think everybody is gone. I make my way to leave and as I expected the girl is waiting for me.
"Let's became a light novelist together!" She is not giving up.
But...
"Sorry I have to go," I replied
And in the next day.
That happened again. She always waits for every day outside of my classroom and says.
"Let's became light novelist together!"
She is not getting tried and keeps inviting me to be a light novelist. She is persistent and her dedication to making her light novel. I can feel that she really wanted to do it.
I feel like a horrible person, but every time I look back at my table and drawing tools. I remember the tragic past.
Sorry, Alice, I refuse because I believe I can't draw properly. It became our daily routine. This is useless. Again and again, I rejected her invitation.
Until this day.
As usual, I'm waiting for everyone to go home. I look outside and heavy rain keeps falling. I forgot my umbrella and the sky is getting darker, I have no choice but to leave school.
I open the door expecting Alice will invite me again.
"Look like she is not here..."
Why I'm expecting to see her again?
It's expected for her because it's raining and getting darker.
While walking to the hallway. The thought of her giving up goes to my mind.
"If she gives up, then it's fine."
I reached the main gate, before the moment I walked into the rain.
Somebody give me an umbrella.
It's the blonde-haired girl who wanted to became a novelist. She has exhausted and she is running out of breath.
"Alice? Why are you so wet?"
"I rushed home and get an umbrella for you... I notice you earlier and thought you don't have an umbrella. Seems like I'm right... Let's became light novelists together."
Alice said with her usual smile.
"Idiot, you really are an idiot, you rush home just to give me an umbrella, what if you got cold and became sick because of me! I'm just a no-one you know. I don't deserve such attention from you."
I scolded.
"But... I just... Sorry, Yuto... But still, I wanted you to become my illustrator."
"You idiot, you only get one umbrella."
"You... Right... That's dumb of me."
I open the umbrella and pull her beside me."Stay still I'll walk with you to your home..." I said.
"Yeah..."
She said with low toned voice.
We walked together leaving the school ground. While walking with her, I didn't notice the sound of the rain at all. I notice another sound. A sound from my chest.
I walked her to her home.
"I'll borrow this umbrella... Yeah, I also, write a light novel and I will check if there is something I can illustrate."
After hearing that she make a big cheerful smile and said:
"Then you are accepting my invitation! You can count on me Satome-Kun... I won't let you down see you tomorrow."
