The school cafeteria. A nice place to chill and relax with friends while eating freshly prepared food that can range from breakfast meals like tocino or longganisa with fried egg and rice to wholesome lunch meal sets like adobo or daing na bangus along with rice. Aside from meals, junk food and other seemingly unhealthy foodstuff are also available.
As they approached the elderly lunch lady who's busy distributing and serving meals to the hordes of students that are waiting to have their stomachs filled, Bryce ordered 3 meals. One for him, another for Leo and finally for Trent, the person they're treating lunch.
"Trent ano gusto mo? (Trent, what do you want?)" Upon hearing that question, Trent's eyes scanned through the array of viands that are displayed within a glass enclosed counter. Upon finding his favorite dish, which was daing na bangus or marinated fried fish in vinegar and garlic, he pointed his finger on the said dish.
As promised, Bryce and Leo paid for Trent's meal, each paying 25 pesos for a total of 50 pesos which is the price of the dish he's about to eat. Now this is the good life in San Alfonso Liguori High School. Well, maybe not as Leo excused himself from the table in order to buy a bottle of water.
Unbeknownst to Trent, this is actually a front by the two boys who were previously gossiping at him.
"Okay ka lang? Kain na! (Are you okay? Come on, eat!)" Bryce nudged Trent's shoulder.
Cutting a bite size piece of fish using the spoon before scraping away a small amount of rice off the plate using the same piece of cutlery, Trent began to eat. A clear expression of delight was painted on his face as he tasted the perfect blend of salty, garlicky and sour flavors of the fish.
Sarah Ambrosio, one of Trent's female classmates, suddenly approached him. "Hi, Trent. Wow ang sarap ng kinakain mo ha? (Hi, Trent. Wow what you're eating looks delicious!)"
"Hi, Sarah. Oo nga e. Favorite ko pa. (Hi, Sarah. Yeah, truly. It's even my favorite.)" Trent replied, beckoning Sarah to sit beside him.
"Gusto ko sana magpaturo sayo ng math. Ang galing mo kanina e. (I was hoping you could teach me math. You were really amazing a while ago.)" Sarah took out her math textbook and laid it open on the table for Trent to see. Unbeknownst to him, Bryce, who is having a crush on Sarah, looked at him with contempt before he continued eating his own meal.
"Saan ka nahihirapan? (In what part are you having difficulty with?)" Trent asked as he grabbed the open book and slid it towards him so he could read it.
"Doon sa lesson natin kanina. Hindi ko ma-gets e. (Our lesson a while ago. I'm having a hard time getting it.)" With that, Trent began to teach Sarah their math lesson a while ago, which was the Pythagorean theorem. He reiterated everything that Ms. Salazar taught a while ago in ways that Sarah could easily grasp and understand.
Meanwhile, Leo was in the bathroom with the bottle of water he had bought from the canteen. He emptied the contents of the water bottle into the toilet before unzipping his pants and filling it instead with his own urine. He then put back the blue plastic bottle cap on the bottle before washing his hands and leaving the bathroom.
"Bryce, nasaan na pala si Leo? Bakit ang tagal nya? (Bryce, where is Leo? Why is he taking so long?)" Trent questioned Bryce as he laid down his spoon on the plate which was already empty.
"Hindi ko alam e. Iniwan nya pagkain nya. (I don't know. He even left his food behind.)" Bryce replied. He tried to keep a straight face since he is aware of the reason why Leo was taking too long to come back.
A catchy ringtone suddenly blared out of Bryce's phone. It was an incoming call from Leo. The latter's in a secluded hallway so his words won't be heard by anyone in the school.
"Sandali lang ha? (Hold on, okay?)" Bryce got up and answered his phone, walking away from the table.
"Hello, pre. Ano kamusta na? Nakahanda na ba lahat? (Hey, bro. So what's up? Has everything been prepared?)"
"Oo, sabihin mo na lang kay Trent na puntahan nya ako dito. (Yeah. Just tell Trent to come and see me here.)"
Upon dropping the call, Bryce approached Trent and carried out Leo's instructions. Trent, unsure about where this is going, reluctantly agreed to follow him.
"Hm, napakatanga mo talaga. (Hm, you're so stupid.)" Bryce said in his thoughts as he inaudibly snickered at Trent's gullibility.
"Welcome, Trent! I want you to take a seat." Leo beckoned Trent to sit on a wooden chair. The latter did so, not knowing that it was wet until he began to feel his buttocks becoming soaked.
"Hala! Bakit basa? (Oh no! Why is it wet?)" Trent's calm face suddenly turned into an expression of worry as he got up, his pants already wet. Worse, he even smelled of urine.
"Ang panghi! Yuck! Umihi ka no? (It smells like urine! Yuck! You peed yourself did you?)" Bryce said, causing both him and Leo to guffaw at Trent who appears to have peed himself while in fact, he did not.
Tears began rolling down Trent's face as he began to ride a roller coaster of emotions. The perfect combination of embarrassment and the realization that he was a fool to become prey to Bryce and Leo's sinister motives.
"Bakit nyo ginawa sa akin to?! Ano ba kasalanan ko sa inyo?! (Why did you do this to me?! What did I ever do wrong to both of you?!)" Trent ran away from the two boys who are still laughing and decided to go home since he doesn't have an extra pair of pants to change. And also, he's wallowing in the deep, dark ocean called humiliation to the point that he can't even show up his face to everyone because of the state he's in.
As he reached the gate, the school's security guard got in the way between him and the gate. "Saan ka pupunta? Hindi pa labasan a. (Where are you going? It's not yet dismissal time.)"
"Sorry, naihi ako. (Sorry, I peed myself.)" Trent had to tell that harsh and humiliating lie in front of the guard just to get out of school which is starting to become hell in his eyes. The guard believed Trent and allowed him to go beyond the school gate upon smelling the urine like odor emanating from his pants.
