She was a spectacular beast.
Terrifying but spectacular.
Behind the terrifying rows of sharp white teeth, was a beast with coldness and gracefulness. I could see intelligence within the yellow silt like eyes.
Suddenly something inside me similar to a sixth sense told me this was my mother. Fear gradually left me as the giant head of the dragon which was the size of a bus gently rubbed its face against me.
Now that I realized she was my mother, I appreciated her beauty as her bluish silver scales shimmered under the sun's rays.
With new found bravery I risked my self and rubbed against her. She blew hot air from her nose showing her appreciation and love.
I coughed a little bit as I inhaled the carbon rich smoke.
Now that I think about it, she's as large as a three stored building. What kind of prey does she need to sustain herself?
Then I felt myself become drenched with cold sweat. This a different world with many unknown dangers... this is no longer earth.
I looked at my mother who was now laying down still looking at me.
It's best I stick to her. I nod to myself as inside I was wrath with anxiety.
I look back at the egg came from and it was only then did I realize that I had siblings. I had hatched first and there were two other eggs were still laying in a nest similar to the ones birds make but only larger.
Gurgle..
I am hungry. I look at mother and she suddenly stands up and flies away. Accompanied by the beating sounds of her great big wings, she flies away into the horizon.
At the sight of her leaving, I did a little whimper.
Hmm... it seems I imprinted on her.
For little me right now, mommy was my world.
Mommy! Come back!
