After entering an inn I pressed the log out button. A cool refreshing sound was let off as the the capsule automatically opened. I opened my eyes and sat up. 'This is all too exciting.' I checked the time that said 9:00am and changed into a casual white T-Shirt and grey joggers. I then proceeded to enter the living room. My father, Steve Winston, was sitting on the couch drinking tea and watching the news. "In other news, the recent release of the Virtual Reality Game has caused all other Virtual Reality Games to be shut down due to their entire player bases flocking to 'Flawless....." said the female presenter.
"Morning" I said.
"Good Morning" replied my father."Wheres everyone else?" I inquired."Your mother and Sister went to a social gathering event and Jake is playing 'Flawless'. He probably won't come out till the end of the week. Speaking of, how come you're out so early? You haven't forgotten our deal have you?" said my father.
I immediately "Of course not. In return for you sponsoring my guild, I just need to create a strong guild right? Im just out for some fresh air, and I might recruit some people while I'm at it"
"Hmmm, all right then. Just make sure you don't fall behind"
"Don't worry Dad, I told you before, creating a super guild is easy for me. Anyways Im heading out, see you later." I said. My father just nodded his head and returned his attention to the news.
I walked through the door and took my phone out.It was a pretty new edition but people usually bought watches. I went into my contacts and started texting.
I wrote 'Lets meet up at KBC. Im craving for some chicken rn.' I put my phone and headed towards my car. A man came in front of me and opened the back door. I entered the car and told the driver where I wanted to go. After my death, I had already decided never to drive again *shiver*.
~30 minutes later ~
I arrived outside the restaurant and entered. I ordered two bucket of chicken wings and sat down. My mouth started to salivate since I hadn't eaten anything as delicious while adhering to my strict workout. I sat down and noticed someone coming through the door. "Hey Jack, I already ordered for you come sit down." A tall young man who had silky blue hair and red eyes entered. He wore a blue hoodie and some dark jeans." Yo Arthur, what's going on man. You suddenly called me out and you haven't even accepted my friend request dude" said Jack.
"Sorry man, I turned off my notifications to help me in battle more and I forgot to check. Ill accept once I get back in. Anyways our food is ready.". I stood up and received the two buckets. I gave one to Jack and paid for the food. We then left the restaurant and walked alongside each other.
We received a lot of attention because of our looks so a lot of people would gawk at us. Jack carried on walking and didn't seem to notice the stares or he did and just didn't care and continued eating. I occasionally turned my head and gave a soft smile to the onlookers but Im pretty sure that just made things worse.
Jack started talking saying "So? Whyd you call me out?"
I looked at him and said " The offer still stands you know. Ill welcome you to my guild anytime you want. Ill even give you a large paycheck. "
"heh Im not joining your guild Arthur. I enjoy my freedom, and I already have enough money from my father anyways. What have you been up to in-game anyways?" said Jack.
"Not much really. I got spawned on the continent Midgard in a large Kingdom called Camelot. Ive just been going here and there levelling up. How bout you?" I said as I took out my last piece of chicken.
"How'd you eat that so fast? *shakes head* Anyways I spawned on the same continent as you but in another country called Fiore. Im at the harbour town and I heard a story about a powerful ship being there from one of the natives so I've just been chasing clues."
I knew that his efforts wouldn't go to waste and that he would find it soon and start his journey to become one of the {Ten Immortal Gods}. Known as 'The devil of the Sea' and owner of the Legendary 'Black Pearl', alongside myself, me and Jack were the only two British members of the {Ten Immortal Gods}.
"Well I was expecting that answer so I called you out here to help me with recruiting my core members" I said. "haaaaah? And why the hell should I do that?" replied Jack.
"Aw come on, its the least you could do si-" my sentence was cut short as I noticed a bloody person limping inside an alleyway. I ran towards the person as the fell into my arms. "Hey I need you to stay conscience for me. Can you hear me?" I looked back and saw Jack calling an ambulance on his watch and speaking to someone.
The person in my arms seemed to be a male with silver hair, although there was quite a lot of dirt and blood staining it. He had a slender body and firm muscles. He opened his eyelids revealing the unstained silver eyes. He started to separate his lips and weakly said "Run".
~Someone else's mind~
My name is Muzaka. I am from a normal family. I owned a small shop and made enough money to care for my daughter and wife. I went home one day to find the dead body of my wife and the dying body of my fourteen year old daughter, Ashleen. I called the ambulance that night and waited for them to come while holding my daughter in my arms. The tears flowed down my cheeks in a never ending stream as I felt her body getting colder. Her last words to me were " Don't hate anyone okay? I love you Papa". Those words never entered my brain as the sirens of the ambulance wailed in the background. They took the bodies of my family and I left with them with a note in my hand.
It said "This is what happens when you don't obey me. Love Maduke". I knew who this was. I thought I had left my past behind. I thought my clan would forget about me. I was foolish. At that moment the only thing occupying my head at that moment was my hate towards them.
I made a rash decision that I regret. I called an old friend of mine and asked him to locate where Maduke was. About half a day later, my friend contacted me and sent me his current residence. I immediately got a flight booked and left the country and headed towards England.
About a day later I arrived in front of the hotel he was staying and I saw him exiting the entrance. He was a middle aged man with brown hair, brown eyes and a flashy white suit. Upon seeing hime I completely lost it and screamed "MADUKKEE!!!!!". I rushed at him with my fist raised. Suddenly, two men appeared by his side and delivered devastating blows directly to my face.
I fell on the floor with a bruised face and I looked towards my assailants. They continued to deliver punches and kicks aimed all over my body as they indiscriminately.
"Pathetic" said Maduke. I turned my attention towards him and asked him with a trembling voice "W.w...why Maduke?". A huge smirk appeared across his face as he looked at me and said "You, who defeated me in every aspect when we were kids have reduced yourself to that state. You gave up becoming the clan leader and instead ran off with some dirt poor commoner girl. I tried so very hard to surpass you back then and to get this position while beating you but you left. I became the clan leader but I was unsatisfied.
Do you know why Muzaka? Why I had your wife and child killed? Because I hated you. I despised and sought to see you suffer. Seeing you know, its best if you forget about revenge and just die" Maduke just turned around and walked away while my tears just started falling to the floor while I was remembering my daughters last words "Don't hate anyone okay? I love you Papa". I didn't listen. I should've listened. This isn't what she wanted. This isn't what they wanted. Im sorry Ashlee. Papa is a disappointment isn't he?
One of two thugs asked with a rugged deep voice asked "What should we do with him boss?". Maduke looked back for a second before walking off and saying "Cremate him. Alive."
~5 minutes later~
One of the dudes drove a large white truck to the area while the other one went up to the truck and opened the doors and started talking "This is such a bother. Id rather be home pla-. Huh, OI, WHERE DID HE GO?"
The other guy jumped out the truck and said "You idiot! You were supposed to be watching him!" Thug no.1 then replied "Whatever, he left a trail. Lets follow it"
The two guys then set out running after Muzaka.
~Back to Arthur~
After the guy said that I immediately became alert as I saw two figures appearing from the shadows. I picked the guy up in my arms as I asked "Who are you guys?"
Thug no.1 replied "Theres no need for brats like you to be involved. Give the guy to us and we'll let you guys go."
I warily looked at them then asked again "What happens if we don't want to?" I gave the unconscious guy to Jack.
Thug no.2 then dashed towards me and said "Then we'll just have get rid of you"
Thug 2 sent a fist to my face as I moved my head out of the way. I grabbed the arm and threw the thugs average sized body over my shoulder.
Jack who was watching this whole ordeal heard the ambulance sirens and told me "Hurry it up, we. need to go"
I nodded me head then grabbed the arm of the guy who was on the floor. I twisted completely and I heard a loud bop sound resound through my ears. Thug 1 wasn't just watching this the whole time. After being in shock momentarily he quickly regained his senses and charged at me. I sent powerful kick impaling the bulky mans stomach as he was flown back and started to throw up whatever he ate this morning. "Aaah. That was a nice warm up" I said as I cracked my neck while walking away.
Thug 2 who was wailing in pain seemed to have lost his senses as he squirmed around screeching like a dying animal. Seeing him like this, I didn't even feel the slightest ounce of remorse. "W-w-wWhat is your name kid".
I stopped and looked back and answered him " Arthur. Arthur Winston. Come after me if you can". I left the scene and walked away not looking back for a second.
