Chapter 2 - Good to see you again, Fanrielle

Fanrielle woke up early the next day. She has been absent yesterday due to her appointment at the hospital which is why today can be considered as her first day of school as a freshman student in A University. Since she is the heiress to a multi-billion company, it was no surprise that she took up a course in Business Administration.

Their Residence is not that far from the said university which is why Fanrielle didn't need to stay at a dorm inside the school. Well, even if their Residence is far from the University , her parents wouldn't let her stay at a dorm because of her heart problem.

Fanrielle, followed along with her personal guard, trotted along the University. Although the university is a prestigious one, it was rare for a student to have a personal guard which is why a lot people have been looking at Fanrielle with a weird expression.

"Hey,hey who is that girl?"

"I haven't seen her before, maybe a freshman?"

"She looks familiar. I think I've seen her somewhere before."

Fanrielle paid no attention to the gossip around her and quietly walked to the direction of her first class. She sat at the last row near the exit just in case her heart decided to throw a tantrum and end her life. Her father specially got a permision from the school to have a personal guard accompany her even inside the classroom so there would be no problem with the professor.

The classroom soon filled up with students and just like what happened earlier, she paid no attention to their gossips and questioning looks.

"Good morning class." the professor greeted

The door slammed open which made Fanrielle put her hand over her chest. Fanrielle tried to calm herself down and gestured for the personal guard not to worry and there's no need for him to go over because he is staying for atleast a meter or two away from Fanrielle.

"Good morning to you too, Mr. Mexeniall."

Fanrielle stiffened in her seat when he heard the name. She noticed yhat most if the girls in class squirmed at their seats.

"Sorry, professor. Coach Marvs called me in his office this morning."

Fanrielle stayed still as a statue and didn't dare to look behind her. Hearing the familiar yet not so familiar voice of his long time idol made her weak in the knees. She looked at his heart rate monitor and saw that the number us increasing at a fast rate.

She heard the sound of a chair sliding on the floor beside her. 'No way, why are you sitting beside me? Are you insane?!' Fanrielle cursed and looked away when he sensed his gaze in her direction. 'He's not gonna recognize me, right?' Fanrielle panicked

'Stupid Fan, ofcourse he won't. It's been almost 2 years.' Fanrielle scolded herself

Seeing that her heart rate is still high, Fanrielle's personal guard stepped forward and whispered to her young lady.

"Young miss, do you need to take a break?"

"No, no. It's fine. I'll be fine after some time. I just got startled a little. Don't worry." Fanrielle whispered back, hoping that Sage won't hear anything.

"But young miss, your--"

"I said I'm fine." Fanrielle cut him off and forced herself to calm down and listen to the professor's lesson.

Fanrielle diligently took notes on her laptop while occassionally stealing glances from Sage. The bell rang, signalling the end of the class and she immediately stood up and made her way to the gym. Although Fanrielle is not required to do the activities during P.E., she is still required to attend the class for equality, they say.

As usual, Fanrielle is the first to arrive at the gymnasium because she doesn't need to   change her attire unlike everybody else.

"Excuse me, aren't you Fan from X Highschool's branch in B City?" a familiar voice asked

Fanrielle looked to her right and saw a man in his mid-40s smiling at her. She immediately stood up.

"Coach Marvs! I'm surprised that you still remember me." Fanrielle said with a smile on her face. Coach Marvs knew her because she is one of the very few people who supported the basketball career of his team.

"Why wouldn't I? You were the number one fan of X Highschool's A City Branch's basketball team. How are you?" Coach Marvs asked Fanrielle

"Still alive, Coach Marvs! Although, I'm still sorry that I can't attend any games or fanmeetings anymore, I still support the team in my own little ways." Fanrielle enthusiastically said

"What little ways? You little rascal, who the hell funded our away games in order to strengthen the team, huh? Is it me?" Coach Marvs said with a laugh

"Oh, I don't know Coach Marvs. Maybe it is an angel?" Fanrielle said with a laugh

Coach Marvs laugh along with her before saying,

"Some members of the team will be helping me with the class later. Now's your chance to meet them again, ayt?"

Fanrielle stilled in her seat. 'NO FUCKING WAY! I'M GONNA MEET SOME OF THE MEMBERS NOW?! AS IN NOW?!'

"Uhm, I don't think that's necessary Coach Marvs. I'm just their fan, Fan. It's fine even if I don't meet them. I mean, what I get flustered to the point of having a heart attack, right?" Fan panickedly said

Coach Marvs roared in laughter.

"Aiya,Fan! You never changed. You're still the panicky fangirl in front of his idols!"

"Yo Coach Marvs!"

"Coach Marvs!"

"Ayo Coach!"

A series of voices sounded throughout the gymnasium.

"Ahh! There you are, team!" Coach Marvs said with a smile as three tall boys approach them.

Fanrielle looked down. She is internally panicking right now. Her fangirl heart can't take it. This is just too much! She is in the same room as her idols and they are breathing the same air conditioned air!

Coach Marvs looked down at Fanrielle and couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction.

"Collin, Sean, Cobe, do you still remember your number one fan?" Coach Marvs said while lightly pushing Fanrielle towards the trio

"Our number one fan, Fan?"

"THE number one and only one fan, Fan?"

"THE best and one of a kind fan, Fan?"

The three exclaimed in succession.

"OFCOURSE WE DO!" they said in unison and looked at Fanrielle's flushed face.

"H-hi? I-i didn't expect you to remember me." Fanrielle replied while struggling to form some words in front of them

"We will always remember our first fans, Fan." Collin said

"Yup. And you are the best one, Fan." Sean continued

"Exactly. Besides, you are the only one who stood up and continued to support us when our career went downhill." Cobe answered

"So, we will never forget you, Fan." Collin ended and they all smiled at me.

I cheekily smiled at them and we all sat in the bench while waiting for the others ro arrive.

"By the way, Fan, if you don't mind me asking, where did you go for the last one, two years?" Collin asked

"Yeah, we never saw you at our fanmeetings and games anymore." Sean sadly said

"We were kinda missing your one of a kind banners for each of us." Cobe said

"Uhh, I was..." I trailed off and looked at Coach Marvs for help.

"Aiya, Fan! You forgot to speak our language now? You just spent almost two years in abroad, right?" Coach Marvs said

Fanrielle lightly laugh and smiled at Coach Marvs thankfully.

"Ofcourse not, Coach Marvs! My fangirl heart just can't take it. I am surrounded by my idols and my heart is pumping like crazy!" Fanrielle exclaimed

Collin, Sean, and Cobe laughed at Fanrielle's reply.

"Still the same Fan that we know!" Sean said while laughing

The group heard the sound of the gymnasium door opening and closing and saw Sage walking towards their direction. Although Fanrielle can be said to have some kind of close relationship with Coach Marvs and the other three members, the same cannot be said to Fanrielle and Sage as the latter is too closed off and is always giving dry replies.

"Coach Marvs." Sage greeted and Coach Marvs gave him a nod. 'Huh, kid! I have the laust laugh now. I gave you no reply, no reply at all!' Coach Marvs thought

Fanrielle who was surrounded by Collin, Sean, and Cobe immediately stiffened and lowered her head. It was no secret to the team that Fanrielle's ultimate idol was the then underrated Sage Skylar Mexeniall.

"Sage! Dude look who we have here!" Cobe excitedly said to Sage

"Remember her, Sage? Our number one fan, Fan?" Sean asked, excitement was evident in his voice

"The number one and only one fan, Fan?" Collin continued

"The best and one of a kind fan, Fan?" Cobe said

Fanrielle felt a scorching gaze directed to her and she flinched. She deliberated on whether to look up and face him or not. Fan was about to look up to him but the gymnasium doors suddenly burst open and a noisy group of students in P.E. uniform walked inside the gymnasium. Coach Marvs quickly went over to the group in order to have them settle in the left side of the gymnasium. Coach Marvs looked towards the direction of Collin, Sean, and Cobe and gestured for them to go over there.

"Gotta go, Fan." Collin said, bidding his goodbye

"Talk to you later Fan!" Sean enthusiatically said

"Cheer for me while I do some work for Coach, Fan!" Cobe said with a pitiful expression on his face

Only Sage and Fan was left. Fanrielle started fidgeting. 'Why the hell is he still here? Doesn't he need to go over there too? Aiya, Sage! Go there!' Fan internally screamed

"Don't remember me?" Sage asked

Fanrielle's eyes widened but she still kept her head down. She doesn't know why she was acting this way and all she knows is that her heart is gonna jump out of her ribcage any moment now and she might die!

"Don't want to see my face, Fanrielle?" Sage asked for the second time

Fanrielle looked up and saw Sage with a blank expression.

"No, no. I..." Fanrielle trailed off

'C'mon Fanrielle Sia! Isn't he just one of your idols? Why can't you act like a normal fangirl, huh? You were actually so shameless two years ago when you chat with him on social media! Why are you always so shy when meeting with him on person?!' Fanrielle scolded herself internally

Fanrielle forcefully smiled at Sage and said,

"I-I was just flustered to meet you again, you know. That's why I...I don't know how to act around you. A-After all, you are my ultimate idol."

Sage looked away and hummed in reply. He turned on his heel and walked two steps before stopping again and looking back at Fan.

"Good to see you again, Fanrielle." he muttered and started walking towards Coach Marvs and the rest of the class.
