"That's… a big flame there…", Liam muttered to Aubrey when he hopped in the car.
"Yes. Enough to burn the whole thing.", Aubrey told him absentmindedly. He didn't care much about the mansion. What was called home wasn't here anyway.
Liam started to drive away from the mansion, they noticed a shadow of a woman staring blankly at the mansion. But they paid it no mind. Liam knew who that woman was. It was Elena Cha, Adamson's personal secretary.
She just arrived, her hair messy and her breathing ragged. She clutched her chest that seemed to hurt. Unknowingly, tears came down from her red eyes. She could do nothing at all as she watched the house burnt in flames. She knew Adamson was inside. Elena was silent for some time before a chuckle left her mouth. She faced the huge ancestral mansion, and she started to laugh like a woman who had lost her mind.
"In the end… you don't think that I matter.", she murmured in complete submission to her own sadness.
