Chapter 3 - The Anomaly

The boy and the man left the shop.

Later on, that evening, in a nice neighborhood. The boy was seen walking home with his father. He was practically skipping home at this point. He seemed eager to go to his room and play with his new toy before calling it a night. The father tried his best to hone down his child's over-eagerness, and at the same time, he seemed to be stalling for something.

They passed row upon rows of houses. The man was used to this neighborhood. They had been living here for the past ten years. After he made his first movie," Silver City", it achieved minor success. He saved most of the money he made from it and bought a house in this suburb. He got married that year and he got his child some months later. One could say that things just started going well for him. After that, he made another film called "Ancient History". This one was a huge hit. It made him famous and people started coming to offer him job interviews. Well, that was five years ago, and now he works for Cal Film production as a mid-level film producer. Normally, he should be happy. However, he is not satisfied. He came into cinematography to make movies. He started with Horror due to his lack of funds. And he slowly grew to love that genre. Now, he is stuck making films on the biography of people. Although he gets paid heftily, he still wanted to leave. The only reason he hasn't left was because of his family. Like every good dad, he does not want his son to know want. He wants him to grow up content. Even though it seems that that has spoiled the boy.

Soon, the father and son duo stopped in front of a mini villa. It kind of stood out in this neighborhood with all its identical houses. The father lifted his son as he climbed up the front steps. He made sure the boy's face was not facing the door before he opened it. Looking inside, he sighed in relief. He had not been too early.

The boy was staring at the panda plushy in his hands. Every time, he looks at it, his love for it increases. If it was an adult, they would think that something is wrong, but the naivety of a child drowns out all bad feelings. If not, why do you think kidnappers find it so easy to trick a kid away?

The boy's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of something. The boy found that sound familiar. Almost as if he knew what it was. He could not help but smile happily. His curiosity has been aroused. He turned around and was met with a marvelous scene. The scene that most kids love. That of his mom dressed as Santa Claus holding a cake in her hand. He could guess what was going on. It is his birthday party. The boy started smiling.

The father placed his child down and watched him run and hug his mom. The mom looked at him quizzically when she saw the toy in her son's arms. He mouthed out, ' I will tell you later.'

Just right before his wife was hidden by a group of friends and relatives who want to witness the boy blow out the nine candles on top of the chocolate cake.

The man sighed as he went to the sitting room to get a seat. He sighed," Today has been hectic."

This was the first vacation; he has taken in two years. That was his last thought before he fell asleep.

He did not notice that the panda's face twitched when the boy hugged his mother. He did not notice the glint in its eyes when it looked at his visitors. He did not notice all this, because toys don't move. This is not Toy Story. This is reality.

On the dining table where the boy had placed it. The panda's eyes flickered. ' It is not time yet.'

The shop owner on the other hand was on his phone watching YouTube. He looked up in the direction of the man's house, before saying, "Oh! When did it learn patience? Hai, what a failure, I learned patience when I was nine years old. It's ten thousand years old and it just learned this, it seems that it has room temperature IQ."

The shop owner turned his attention back to his phone. He has to learn Failure Management. That creature looks like it needs emotional damage.
