Chapter 37 - 37

Grimmo 12, Battle Division meeting.

Evening of September 28, 1991.

"So, what's the progress on the tasks of the last meeting?"

"Edward and Mr. Creighton rented a house a third-mile away for a year. From his front windows, you can see the entrance to this house. That's where we plan to set up a base," said Senior George Calhoun. "For the village by the Uchaf Creek, we'd like to reinforce the defensive shield, we'll put up fire points."

"What kind of weapons?"

"Mostly German. We've got a dozen Flak 38 anti-aircraft guns, two dozen MG 34s, ammunition, three hundred SMI-35s. There were also M-39s. There are enough machine guns and guns for a company. What's our resupply, sir?"

"It doesn't matter with the replenishment. Finding brave guys like you is fast and hard. Besides, the Muggles are no good for us. We need the candidate to see the magic. Mr. Creighton, look for potential candidates among your acquaintances. We'll invite them for interviews through goblins anyway."

"Copy that, sir."

"Since sooner or later there will be battles, we need a medical service. Every agent must have the necessary minimum field medicine skills. Portkey and house-elf to be delivered to a field hospital, witch doctor. We'll be moving in that direction. Now for the other important thing, that's the connection."

I put four bracelets on the table, ordered through Shnagrog.

"Bracelets with protein charms. The button transmits the press. The first time you press it, the bracelet will scratch you. Mr. and Mr. Calhoun, explain to Mr. Creighton the radio rules and Gerke's code," I was the first to set an example and put on the bracelet. The agents followed my example; meanwhile, I continued.

"We need some more backup bases and meeting points. I'll take care of it. Your task will be to provide a reserve of weapons, ammunition, rations, and medical supplies. While you're stockpiling them in the village. I do not rule out the organization of enemy provocation. In that case, we will temporarily have to move to an illegal situation for six months to a year. That's why the most important thing is the reserves. Dumbledore's got a chance to strike unexpectedly. Our job is to be the first to shoot this mad animal. Questions?"

"Sir, what's the budget for the reserves?" Edward is our material specialist.

"How much do you need to organize four bases for ten people, two months' worth of food, weapons, and ammunition for a few intense fights?"

Edward thought about it, pulled out a notebook, compared old records, and did some handwriting.

"Eighty thousand pounds, sir."

"That's the amount I can allocate right now, but it's going to get in the way of my business. Tomorrow I'll give you forty thousand pounds."

"Copy that, sir."

The Supreme Spider, by the way, still hasn't taken the Diagon Alley observers off. Catch a couple of them, or what? I'm tired of talking all the time. But act too fast. It's too soon.

Delacour Estate, Alain's office.

3 afternoons, October 1, 1991.

*

"Good afternoon, Mr. Delacour."

"Hello, Mr. Potter."

"Sir, I suppose there was enough time after the first meeting to think about a plan of action. And to gather a detailed dossier on me."

"Yes, to both your questions, Monsieur Potter."

"Now, where have you come to, sir?"

"You are a man to be dealt with, monsieur. Your actions are caused by the need to survive the persecution of enemies with powerful administrative resources."

"Pleased to speak to an understanding man, sir. I am now waiting for Dumbledore's actions. A provocation will undoubtedly ensue. However, this matter is only indirectly relevant to our plans. Where's your plan, sir?"

Delacour gave me a piece of paper. After reading it, I hummed, took a piece of paper out of my pocket with my plan, and gave it to Delacour. Delacour read it and hummed it:

"Since we do not disagree on the next steps, Mr. Potter, when do we schedule the first interview?"

"How about Friday? The readers will get the numbers just in time for Saturday breakfast."

"Okay, October 4th, at noon. We'll work on the questions, and we'll start the interview at 3:00."

"See you then, Mr. Delacour."

"Goodbye, Mr. Potter."

Gringotts

*

Gringotts met me in an unfamiliar meeting room that was considerably larger than before. I liked the decorative mushroom tubs in the corners of the room. It must be a symbol of success in some way for goblins. After giving me time to look at the interior, there was Shnagrog.

"Hello, heir to the Black family."

"And good for you all, Master Shnagrog," Shnagrog couldn't hold back and blinked his left eye. Until then, I greeted the goblins with exceptionally neutral phrases and did not wish them anything good.

"I have some good news for you, Mr. Potter. The Weasley family has been destroyed. The Charles and William brothers have fulfilled your condition. They have renounced the Weasley family and vowed with life and magic not to revenge the Weasley family members who were destroyed on September 1st."

"Indeed, good news, Master Shnagrog. And what is their last name now?

"They asked us to keep it a secret, Mr. Potter. Mr. William went to Egypt on Gringotts' business, and Mr. Charles went back to work in the Romanian reserve."

"Okay, their last name is none of my business."

I then asked Shnagrog for advice on how to define and clarify family debts, marriage contracts, and other troubles. Nobody took blood from me. But one hour later, Shnagrog presented me with a paper. I started reading and almost fell to the floor from the sofa. The notes gave a rough idea of the depth of James Potter's brain deficit problem. This shaggy-eyed degenerate had a magical contract. It turns out that every child of James Potter is magically obligated to take an oath of obedience to Albus Dumbledore upon reaching adulthood. There's more to it than that. There were special moments agreed upon. And the text of the contract was drawn up in such a way that it was read the sight of submission to the Horcrux-Born Spider of Magic Britain. Whatever body he was in and whatever his name was. I can solve this problem, I can renounce my family. How I wish I could posthumously kick that freak James Potter out of the family! He lost the family artifacts. And now I have to collect them. He let his children into slavery, and I'm going out of slavery. That's the biggest claim I've ever made. He's a fucking blood traitor! Maybe that's where my magic problems come from. A kickback instead of a fucking joker hit me. Sirius, surprisingly, had no obligation. Most likely the ancestors were hanging around in case a particularly degenerate descendant was born. It's possible to take measures to hurt the family the freak from the future couldn't do it at will.

I looked at the list and understood a simple fact. I'm the one who has to provoke the Spider. And end up with this shit as long as he has Horcruxes!
