"ANOTHER!" SPADE'S VOICE echoed through the rustic tavern as he slammed the mug down onto the table. There were no contents inside any longer ― it was the seventh mug he had emptied on his own ― but the droplets that clung onto the rims still splashed onto the wooden surface.
Alice grimaced as she sipped at her own glass of fruit juice, eyeing as the food on the table jumped slightly due to the force of the impact.
"Sp― No, Johann, maybe it's time you take a break," she said, her second attempt at getting Spade to stop drinking. She corrected herself with his name when she noticed Lily walking over with a fresh mug of mead in response to his request.
"What for?" Spade dizzily asked. He hiccuped right after he said that.
"Maybe because you're already drunk off your shoes," Lily commented, shaking her head as she put the mug down. "Listen to the darling, Jo. You've hit your limit."
