Selistia tried to understand Zio but she couldn't, from what she could see, she thinks Zio is 16 to 17 years old but his frame is quite big for a 16, 17-year-old.
She followed him for a while.
"Hey can we check your points, I am really curious"
She said.
She really wants to know how much points Zio really has, since she is very competitive she really wanted to know, being a very competitive person she wanted to be the best, being at peak Fundamental level at age of 16 is a huge accomplishment and with a little hard work she will enter Energy Manipulation within a year.
She can become an Energy Manipulator at the age of 17 or even at the age of 16 if everything goes well.
But now she sees someone who is as good as her, maybe even better, from what she saw, Zio took down a Hawk Monster with one shot but he had an advantage, he has a long-range Religan which is quite effective against flying monsters.
Maybe he is good at long range and taking down monsters from far away but maybe she is better than him at close range and has taken down more monsters.
This will help her feel better, knowing that she might now be the weaker link among them two and she wanted to figure it out by looking at his score.
"Why?"
Zio asked.
"As I said, just curious"
She said with an innocent smile on her face, Zio looked at her with doubtful eyes, he didn't like that smile one bit, even though it looked innocent, he could tell that she is more than just curious, but he decided to go with her wish anyway.
He heard her saying she has about 3000 points that could get her in the top 10, Zio doesn't know how many monsters he has killed but he thinks he has more than 3000 points.
"How do I check it?"
He asked.
Till now he completely ignored the badge and never gave attention to it, he looked at this badge and saw that the numbers that were engraved before are different, instead of a few digits like before, he can see 20900
He looked at it and was surprised, he didn't expect his numbers to be so high, well he did encounter a lot of monsters and killed all of them but it was still very high compared to 3000 of Selistia.
"20900"
He answered.
As Selistia heard this she froze for a second and looked at him.
"Do you mean 2900?"
"No, can't you hear? 20900"
Selistia is shocked as she walks in front of Zio and looks at his badge carefully, the numbers were small but she could see the 20900 displayed on it, she doubled checked it as her eyes went wide and she took in a deep breath as she looked at Zio in utter shock.
She couldn't explain these numbers at all.
"How did you get so many points?"
She asked.
"Killing monsters, how else would I get them?"
"No, what I meant to ask was how many monsters did you kill?"
"I don't know, I lost count, there were too many"
"How did you find them, you alone couldn't just find all the monsters or they just don't come to you to get themselves killed, even if someone went searching for them as hard as they can, they couldn't"
She said.
She wondered how Zio found so many monsters.
"As I said, I am a hunter, I can track down my prey, it was not difficult to track down monsters that are not too intelligent, they often tend to leave behind a lot of destruction unless it's their nature to stay quite"
Selistia just stood there silently, she didn't understand what it meant but she realized that it's some hunter stuff, and not many can pull this off, and even knowing that he is a hunter, she is still having a hard time believing Zio's points.
With the time that has passed the best Zio could do is around 8000 to 10000 because that was the highest score that was ever made in the history of the academy's entrance exam and that was made by someone who was 18 years old and was Energy Manipulation level 2 and it was none other than her eldest brothers who set the record five years ago.
And when that happened the whole city was in shock, such a high score should not have been possible, but now as Selistia sees Zio's score, she cannot even fathom the reaction that the city is going to have once they find out about this boy in front of her.
"By the way, how old are you and what level?"
She asked.
This is the first time she realized that she didn't know anything about this boy in front of her except his name and that he is from a hunter's family, she hoped he would be older and at a higher level so that the score that he has might not be as shocking as it seems.
"I am 15 years old and at peak Fundamental level"
He answered to which Selistia took in another deep breath, peak Fundamental level at age of 15, she just realized that this big boy in front of her is actually younger than him but he doesn't look like a 15-year-old boy at all.
As she is trying to recollect all of her thoughts they suddenly heard a loud siren sound coming from far away.
"What is that?"
Zio asked.
"Huh? Ah, the entrance exam is over, they are calling us back, it looks like the monsters have been completely wiped out for now"
Selistia said which still shaken and jealous of Zio's score, Zio didn't say anything and headed towards the source of the sound as the exam is over and he didn't want to waste any time.
Selistia also followed him back while her mind still couldn't process the massive number of points in Zio's badge.
