The dead monster in front of him actually gave him a lot of points because it is a Level Two Energy Manipulator Monster.
[Cut its chest, you should be able to find some kind of Energy gem inside]
Asura informed him.
"Energy Gem?"
[It acts as an energy source inside monsters that are at Energy Manipulation level, when the mutation occurs and corrupt their source, the Energy Source will turn into a solid form.
The energy source is a free moving essence like gas so when they get corrupted the energy source completely changes its state and turns into a solid, so you can find these Energy gems inside them.
They can be sold for a very high price]
Asura explained.
'Just selling for a high price? Does it have any other use?'
Zio asked.
[Not to you at least, give it to a blacksmith and he might be able to make a magical weapon out of it, that is why they can be sold for a high price]
Zio nodded and pulled out a dagger and cut the monster's chest open and he found a black gem stuck to its heart, he pulled out the gem and looked at it and found that there was a lot of energy stored inside the gem but he couldn't use it because it is corrupted.
And the energy inside this gem is not compatible with the energy inside his body, Zio put the gem away and continued to walk further, he did encounter more monsters but they didn't pose any threat to his life at all.
The Shadow Wolf monster could have put Zio in grave danger but Zio didn't allow it, he maintained his distance so the monster couldn't use any of its skills and then he pinned it down to end the battle very quickly.
Now the monsters he faced were back to his level which are mediocre at best and he was getting quite bored of it, he did notice that the sun will set in a few hours and this exam will come to an end, and with the number of monsters, he has kill he hopes that he gets into the top ten at least.
"This is boring"
Zio said as he shot another Monster to death.
[Ya, I thought it would be fun but it looks like these monsters are not much at all, I severely overestimated them]
Asura said and sighed.
As Zio was thinking about what to do next, he suddenly heard an explosion from close by.
[You should go and check it out, maybe you will find something interesting]
Asura said as he wondered what that explosion was, Zio nodded and headed towards the source of the explosion.
It took him a minute to get there and when he arrived he found a girl battling against a flying monster, Zio had seen this girl before, this was the same girl who was on his group and decided to go all alone just like him and the other guy.
Zio looked at the monster and noticed that it was a former Forest Hawk that is now a monster, Forest Hawks are Magical beast of the forest, and they are also very unique because the can control two energy source, Wind and Plants (nature).
He also noticed that this monster is at Energy Manipulation level One and the girl is having a hard time fighting it, the girl has scratches all over her arms and there also seems to be puncture marks on her forearms from the Hawk monster's talons.
Luckily for her, her energy source won't get corrupted unless the Hawk Monster bites her and inject its saliva inside her body.
She is breathing heavily while holding onto her Rapier Sword which is clearly a Religan, flames covered the blade of this Rapier, as this girl tried to stand her ground.
She could easily break her badge and escape from here but it was clear that she doesn't want to do that.
"Why is an Energy Manipulation Monster here?"
She shouted and tried to pierce the Hawk Monster than is coming down to attack her, its claws covered with wind energy which made its area of impact even larger by creating even massive talons.
Both clashed and the girl was sent rolling on the ground, it was very clear that she is no match to this monster.
'Should I help her?'
[I don't know, do whatever you want]
Asura said. He didn't care about this human girl, even if she died right in front of his eyes, he wouldn't care.
Zio looked at the girl's sorry state and then noticed that the Hawk Monster is about to attack again, he decided to help.
Zio "Do you need any help?"
He asked.
The Girl suddenly jolted out of her pain and looked at Zio in surprise, she didn't sense him coming at all but she was glad that he is here.
"Yes please, help me kill this monster"
She said and tried to get back to her feet with the support of her Religan but something suddenly happened which shocked her.
The monster fell right in front of her with an arrow haft way through its head and out of its chest.
She was stunned and turned around and looked at Zio and saw him put down his bow, she looked back at the monster and back at Zio, it was a massive surprise to her.
"Yo-you, you killed it?"
She asked surprised.
"Yes, it was quite easy"
He said and put Tempest on his back, turned around and decided to leave.
