All I could hear was the dripping sounds the rain drops made on the roof. I looked at the mini clock beside my bed. It was already past 3 a.m and I was yet to find sleep.

I've been suffering from Insomnia since I lost my mum when I was 5. My dad didn't care less, I was basically alone. He remarried just a year after mum's death and they already had a daughter. I hated my dad already but I knew I was still scared of him abandoning me and running away.

"So Jin..ahh!" "Kang So Jin!!" It was that witches voice. I still couldn't and wouldn't call her my step mom. She was just a pretentious wench. She would always pretend to be nice to me when dad was around.

I hurriedly got up, washed up and wore my school uniform.

"So Jin, you should eat before leaving."

".." I couldn't help but remain motionless

"Look I made your favorite bean sprout soup."

"You can eat it with father" And with that I stormed out of the house.

My life in school wasn't any better. I didn't make any friends, my grades couldn't speak for me either. I already decided to ruin my own life. The pain and trauma from my past experiences, made me want to suffer.

Still lost in my thoughts, I heard a familiar voice

"Kang So Jin, you are wanted in the teacher's office." As usual, I'm being summoned by the homeroom teacher. I reluctantly stood up and walked lazily into the teacher's office.

"Kang So Jin, why do you always have to cause unnecessary troubles?" Mrs Choi Ha Ru asked in fury. i already knew what the whole commotion was about. I locked the Principal's daughter up in the toilet the day before. The spoilt brat kept on trying to bully me along side two of her 'donkeys'. I just had to teach her a lesson.

"...." I rather kept silent

The home room teacher continued shouting, inviting the attention of other teachers.

"..When you done shouting, I'm in my class" I said and left the staffroom.

My dad was summoned by the school. I didn't really want that to happen because I knew my dad was looking for even the slightest reason to throw me out.
