The Matron's clawed feet clicked as she walked into the room, a cloud of smoke drifting lazily from her beak. "Cluck cluck" Her head twitched as she blinked towards the eggs in the room; red eyes shining with an iridescent green coating.
Please don't hear me. Please don't hear me. Please don't hear me… *shivers* Why are her eyes so freaking beady!
*fwoosh!* a jet of fire shot from her beak as she sighed. "Must be my imagination" she muttered. The matron turned and her scaled tail scraped across the stone floor rustling the various minerals and cloths that had fallen from the nests.
Whew, she didn't hear me... (-.-;)
"Ha! I got you!" she squawked. Her wings flapped angrily and she stomped towards my nest, tail all but whacking the walls in her irritation. "Pretending to be asleep to get away with skipping registration, not on my watch! Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!"
Oh no! (00) she heard me! Run! Or rather, roll! I screamed through my consciousness. The lovely periwinkle egg that I am lolled sideways and rocked a little bit side to side.

The matron picked me up with her beak and put me on her back to carry me like a swan carries their young. "Cluck, your lucky I don't tell your mother about this, humph humph! I can't believe a child of her majesty could be so... so! So lazy!" her body shuddered as she fluffed her feathers and tucked me into place on her back before walking out the door.

Unable to think properly as I was sloshed about I listened to bits and pieces of another of the Matron's tiresome and nauseating transport lectures. "Why can't you be like Miss 415, she took over the Krebulon galaxy and laid waste to the Gerbalk star system of those horrible rhododendrons... Young Masters 1238784, 1238785, 1238786, 1238787... and 1238884 became a mythic being at.... Oh Majesty why did you choose me to take care of this egg! Not that I'm complaining... Remember the old days when... cluck cluck cluck cluck..."
Oh yeah, the matron grew up in the same planet as my mom, they destroyed it together before traveling the galaxy, an infamous pair of ladies. The Changeling and the Cockatrice, but that's a story for another time. You'd think someone of the Matron's status wouldn't be send to be a mere egg courier being one of my mom's SSS class handmaidens, ahem, wingmaidens? 「(°ヘ°) Ugh, beast language has no need for such nuances its all just GGGGGRRRRRRUUUAAAAGGGGKKKKK! GGAARRRRUUGGGHHHFFFFMMMPPHHH! and whatnot.
Before I knew it the matron had taken me to the registration hall for Magic Universities. The hall was rather large as it catered to the greater beasts however compared to the Beast Wave Recruitment Hall it could maybe be the tip of someone's pinky finger. She gave me to a Kappa who was a member of the egg transport division for long incubation eggs like myself. Its kinda fun to bob up and down in the lily pad pond on her head, if not for my motion sickness ~(>_<~).
When I finally got my head on strait- heh, an egg getting its head strait (´꒳`)- I was brought to the assembly area where the presenters were advertising and recruiting for their schools, planets, star systems, dungeons, dimensions, etc. The current presenter was a 13-eyed toad in rippling red, purple, and green colored skin with six legs and two mouths, one traditional toad mouth and one with teeth like a shark. They were calling for poisonous beasts to go to a poisoned marsh dimension in need of mid-level commanders to coordinate a study for greater toxicity.
Whoa!（○□○）He's got a weird tongue! Never seen a double tongue with a triple split before, no wonder he has such a big lisp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Looking down the line of presenters I saw several insectoid creatures, one of them was holding what seemed to be an ant farm which I found amusing. Other than that there were many of your typical beastmen and women, several sentient plants mostly of a vine variety because its easier for them to move and act as representatives, some strange abstract creature that doesn't really exist in my level of perception well, a couple demons, some angels, and angles...
Yeah those ones are weird.（￣□￣;）
There were also several daemons, fae, orkish folk, cryptids, robots, AIs, energy lifeforms, cyborgs, you know, the usual lineup. Although that one guy is wearing a cloak and I can't tell what he is from his wavelength.
