Chapter 3 - chapter 3: hurt

When I woke up I was in a living room. My vision seemed to be blurry but when I was able to focus I saw a guy sitting on the floor. When my vision focused completely I realized that it was kieran. "Wh-where am I ?" I stuttered. He looked up and said "my house, my father is a doctor." I looked wide eyes wondering if he knows about my illness. He nodded to my unspoken question. Suddenly I start to feel panic setting in. He reached out and touched my arm. "Whoa it's ok I'm not going to tell anyone, like I care anyway." He scoffed. I looked up at him "if you don't care why am I here" I glared at him as I said it. He sighed and mumbled "I don't know."

I got up and looked around for my phone. Seeing it I grabbed it and took off out the door. I heard him say my name but I didn't look back. My whole body hurt...it's because of the sickness. It's because of the cancer but I refuse treatment. What is the point of taking a treatment that could kill me and even if it doesn't what is the point of taking it when nobody would care either way. I walk shakily to the park and sit on a bench facing a pond. As I watch the ripples in the water I sense a calmness I never knew before....a new found peace. I lay down on the bench and fall asleep not wanting to go home. A while later I was woken up when I was picked up and I heard a voice say "I found her I'm on the way." After that everything went black again and I heard nothing but silence.

when I woke up I saw white walls and I knew I was in the hospital right away. I saw my mom asleep in a chair and I sighed. after a while my mom woke up. "why?" she asked. I just looked at her and shrugged. I just don't want the treatment mom. she sighed "I could make you take the treatment but I want it to be your choice I don't want you to hate me for making a choice for you." I looked away not answering. "I just don't want it." I say about to cry. my mother just nodded and then walked away. when I looked up I saw her crying and talking to my father. a few hours later they let me leave the hospital.
