Around six in the morning, a peaceful moment was disturbed by a powerful earthquake. Astasia and Kai were forced to get up from bed and rush to the window to see what was going on.
It was a dungeon.
In front of the hotel.
"This aura.. It's as powerful as the previous one. Kai, make sure no one below double SS rankers go inside that gate!! I'm going to check it out myself," Astasia jumped from the balcony and landed safely on the ground. After, she summoned Irith and entered the dungeon by herself.
However, the moment she entered the gate, she was taken into a place with shattered buildings and people suffering from starvation, "This is..." Astasia was too shocked at the sight of the city. The place she was once was so proud of is now in ruins, "Please.... Help me.." an old lady begged. Her body was nothing but bones. Within a few hours, she would probably die from the lack of nutrition.
Seeing the people suffer, she summoned all of her guardians and requested for them to take care of every single person they can. Even if it meant traveling back to Earth to get food.
Astasia was full of rage, hatred, and a strong feeling for revenge. She wanted to claim back her land, which is why she traveled to Lucifer's territory using Irith. When she arrived in front of their entrance, a group of demons approached Astasia, "What's a human doing here? Get lost!" the gate keepers tried to push her away but they failed miserably.
Instead, they were the one who felt the immense pressure of her terrifying aura to the point where everyone within two kilometers had gotten on their knees, "Bring Lucifer to me and don't make me repeat myself," Astasia said in a serious manner while crossing her arms.
However, there was no need for the king to be called because he was already outside the moment Astasia made her presence known, "What the hell? What brings you here all of a-" just before he could finish his sentence, Astasia's fist made contact with his left cheek.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR? THAT FUCKING HURTS!" Lucifer raised his voice at her.
"Just wanted to relieve my anger. If anyone else were to take that punch, they'd probably die,"
"What's your problem?"
"My city. It's destroyed,"
"I know. Didn't I tell you?"
"You didn't"
"I did"
"No you did not"
"Yes I did"
Lucifer and Astasia kept bickering until he finally decided to let her have the win. They can do this for years and Astasia wouldn't give up.
As she was welcomed inside their territory, the demons were terrified by her presence, "Why are they so scared of me," Astasia asked, making her way inside his palace, "Who the hell wouldn't get scared of your damn aura?" He scrunched his eyebrows and frowned at her while sitting down on a grand table. Afterwards, a cup of coffee was served to them by a maid.
"So what's your business with me?" Lucifer said in a business tone. Astasia may be stronger, but it didn't mean he had no fighting chance, "I'm here to make a proposal," Astasia smirked.
"A proposal" The idea of proposal didn't please him at all, especially when it came from Astasia herself. After all, she has the tendency to turn proposals into threats.
"Yeah. It's nothing serious, so don't tense up. I just want you to come to earth with me and help me train some of the hunters," she smiled as if it was such an easy task.
How can the ruler of The Black Death City leave it's palace just to train mere hunters.
Hunters that he doesn't know, care, or prioritize.
"That's ridiculous. I have to manage things around here. I don't have time to waste with your-" Lucifer was unable to finish his sentence when Astasia grabbed his throat.
Obviously, he was shocked. Compared to when they reunited, she's gotten even stronger than before, "You're going to do it, RIGHT?" Astasia made sure to exaggerate the last word.
"Y....Yes..." Lucifer choke as she let him free, "Don't worry. After you do this, I'll make sure to remember it and I'll owe you one. Sounds good?"
"Yeah..." all Lucifer could do was agree. This was supposed to be a deal, yet it looked nothing but a threat. He didn't have a choice in this matter, and things were certainly not beneficial for him.
Owe him one? As if that could help him in the future. What could months of effort of helping the hunters get better in combat could possibly do for him? Nothing. Not for him nor his city.
Meanwhile, Kai was sitting at the edge of his balcony, watching the closed dungeon. It hasn't been a day since she had awoken and she's gone again. Lately, she seems to disappear more than she appears. It's bothering him.
The constant appearance of high leveled gates were resulting into more destruction and threat to earth. So, the hunters association decided to form a plan.
Rudolf wanted to contact Astasia while the leaders conducted a plan for attacking the monsters, but the call immediately went to Kai who responded in a bitter tone, "Who the hell is this?" was how Kai replied to the call.
"This is the head of the hunters association. May I ask who this is?" Rudolf then, was shocked at the call, but he didn't let his feelings and pride take over and made sure he was professional.
The call between the two soon ended with an agreement. Kai will inform Rudolf what he knows and what they can do for the attack.
