Clara was still silent, not answering Mr.K's question. Even Chris, who initially ignored Mr. K, was now staring at Clara too.
Clara took a rough sip of her saliva.
"What are you hiding from me? Was there someone who intended to harm you?" Asked Mr. K in a soft tone as he tried to sit himself up, who previously was just lying down.
There is guilt in Mr. K because, at this point, he couldn't keep Clara by his side. It was during his illness that Clara took care of him.
With a bad feeling, Clara decided to speak honestly with Mr. K.
"Well, I won't hide anything from you .... as long as you promise me not to worry too much about me ... because I'm fine."
Mr. K stared at Clara for a moment and weighed Clara's request.
"Okay ... I'll follow your wishes," said Mr. K succumbed to Clara.

Clara stepped her feet, lazily towards the cafe opposite the hospital.
