Shi sprinted towards the main battle going on in the city. Daisan and his crossbowmen were raining death upon the defenders while Hyousuke and his men plowed through the defender's front line. The mage trio rained magic on the defenders, killing groups at a time.
Shi rushed the defender's backline, stabbing up into the first man's brain stem before grabbing another man by the throat and squeezing. The man's windpipe collapsed with a crunch and Shi covered him in white-hot flames before launching him into another soldier.
Shi then released a flood of lava around him, boiling all the soldiers near him. Shi then turned himself into the gravity source in the area around him and used steel magic to cover himself in spikes while activating stoneskin.
All of the remaining defenders fell towards Shi and impaled themselves on his spikes. Those who were pulled in from the furthest away managed to avoid the spikes by landing on the pile of bodies. Shi reverted gravity to normal then shot a bolt of lightning through the remaining men.
Shi dropped the spikes and headed over to Daisan and Hyousuke. "You guys handle the rest of the soldiers here, there's something I need to do right now." Shi said, the two generals nodded in response and continued their sweep.
Shi ran around until he found Seizon. "Seizon, I need you to do something really important for me," Shi said. "What is it?" Seizon asked. "I need you to go throughout all of the area that we own and get as much manpower as possible," Shi said.
"Alright, where should I bring the men once I have them?" Seizon asked. "Just head north of here, we'll continue onwards until we don't have the men to keep going then stop and wait for you." Shi said, turning and heading back to the castle.
Seizon bowed and went to Daisan and Hyousuke to get some men to make himself look important and to protect him before heading out of the city and going back towards the south.
Shi went back to where Daisan and Hyousuke were. "You know the drill, we got to keep moving, leave as few men here as you can while keeping this place ours, and let's head out," Shi said to the two men, before heading back to the gates.
After a few hours, the men arrived and they all headed out, continuing their trek north. They eventually came to another castle with an even larger city than the one before. Shi looked back at his men, there was still a decent amount of them but they couldn't keep going for much longer.
Shi charged the city wall, leaping up onto it and summoning his reaper to take care of the men as Shi rushed inside the city and headed to the castle. The reaper went through the men, picking one up and throwing him into one of his friends.
The reaper kept going, punching a man in the stomach before hitting another man in between his eyes with the butt of the scythe. The reaper slammed a man's face into the stone wall before punching another in the nose, breaking it.
Shi made it to the castle, blasting the doors off their hinges. Three soldiers rushed him and Shi weaved through them, hitting one on the ear, another on the jaw, and the third on the temple.
The three collapsed as Shi kept moving towards the throne room. He ran into multiple guards on his way but a hit to the ear or liver knocked them out of commission as Shi ran past them.
Shi arrived at the throne room and kicked the doors in, launching them off their hinges and into the room. There were 5 men inside who looked up in surprise at the intrusion.
"Who are you?" One of them asked as they stood up. "I'm Shi Saisei, now surrender now before I have to kill all of you." Shi said, activating war cry and stoneskin. "Wait, didn't Hikaru Eikyo send an army against someone with that name?" One of the men asked the people around him.
"Yeah, he did, I killed that army. I'd rather not have to kill you as well, so just join me and none of you will have to die." Shi said. "Impossible, no one gets away with slighting the Eikyo family." One of the men said.
The men looked up sharply as Shi started laughing. "Slighted, are you kidding, I killed 3 of Hikaru's kids and a couple of his nephews as well, I'd say that's a bit more than a slight." Shi said.
The men's faces paled as they heard what Shi had done. One of the men launched himself at Shi, launching a barrage of lightning bolts at Shi. Shi turned to the man and held up a hand, absorbing the mana from the lightning bolts and turning that mana into a lightning bolt of his own, punching a hole in the man's forehead.
The man fell over, a bit of his brain popping out of the hole in his head. "Anyone else want to kill themselves?" Shi asked, looking around the room. No one said anything as the men looked between themselves.
"Good," Shi said, "Now I'm going to need you to turn over your men and this area to me. You can either join me as well or scurry off to the main island, because Kyushu will be mine soon." Shi said, looking around the room.
A couple of the men ran out of the room but two of them stayed, bowing to Shi. Shi used his mana sense and saw that the two were nearly at green core. "Go make your men open the gates, if any of my men die I'll kill every living thing in this city." Shi ordered.
The two men left immediately to carry out Shi's orders. As his army came through, Shi found the mage trio and called them over. "You have two new members, Daichi I know you were already the leader of this little group but now it's official. The rest of you do what Daichi says and you'll be fine." Shi said, leaving to let the mages exchange greetings and get used to each other.
Shi found Daisan and Hyousuke and walked up to them, "I need you to train up the men here as quickly as possible, how long do you think you'll need?" Shi asked the two. The generals looked at each other for a moment then Daisan turned to Shi "Two months." He said.
"Good, after two months we're off to the next castle." Shi said, going back to the castle to get some sleep.
