Lillian sat in front of the vanity, combing her hair as gently as she could.
For some reason, the maids that come here do not even want to look at her in the eyes or talk to her. They only appeared when she called for them and then disappeared out of sight.
Even the servants do not greet her. Except for the one maid from that night.
But other than her, the others avoided her as much as they could. Especially if they are men. Even if they are younger than her.
"I wonder why they are avoiding you like you have some kind of sickness," Roman said as they were walking to the room from the garden.
"I think I know why. Don't you think so, Remus?"
Remus was called as he had to take care of some work so he quickly dropped Lillian off to the room before leaving.
"I apologise, Saintess," Remus said, looking at her in the eyes. "The king has declared that anyone that dares look at you should be ready to dual with him."
