Fortunately, it is still early in the morning and there are only the servants around the castle so they managed to get to the Princess's room without a hitch and quickly too.
"I do beg your pardon for intruding in your room like this," Ray said, carefully unwrapping Lillian.
"Don't worry about it. I am grateful that we haven't run into any problems." Vaille answered, closing the door. "How is she doing?"
"She's alright but, not very strong. I'm afraid," Ray answered, wiping the beads of sweat off her forehead with a handkerchief he took out of his pocket.
"Then we best hurry." Vaille walked to the painting she saw before and opened the secret passageway she showed to Lillian the first time they met. "Down this way."
"I never knew there was a passageway here." Ray beamed at the princess, picking Lillian up and carrying her to the entranceway.
