Ava Vesper was your regular village girl. Raised on her family's farm. Working day in and day out. On the day she turned 20, she moved on her own.
She found an abandoned castle that no one wanted.
She opened the doors. A grand entryway made of stone greeted her. Hung above was a beautiful chandelier. "This place is perfect!"
She ran through the castle. It wasn't a big castle.
Ava bought the castle. The last owner basically gave it to her for free.
Curious as to why, she asked him. "You are never alone in this place. Things move and you will hear things."
After saying that, he threw the keys and ran. She just shrugs it off and goes inside. Gathering cleaning supplies from the kitchen, she went to work on cleaning.
Dusting everything in sight. Sweeping steps and all.
"And done!" She picked up her cleaning supplies and put them back.
"Now to gather some materials for bedding and curtains. Oh and some food to eat." She giggled as she walked out of her new home, not knowing someone had been watching the whole time.
Ava arrived back with some things and set them down on her kitchen table.
"Good thing the previous owners left the furniture."
*Slam!* The front doors opened. Ava ran to close them.
*Clash Bam* It was a storm. Ava felt water drip on her head.
She looked up to see the roof leaking. "Oh no, I forgot to check the roof!!!" She ran to gather bowls and pans.
As she opened the cabinet doors, all the bowls were gone. So were the pans.
"No no no! Don't tell me I've already been robbed?!?!?" She ran back to were the holes were only to be met by a man.
Ava stopped and stared. "Who are you?"
The man turned around.
His eyes glowed green. His hair black as night.
"What did you just say?" He looked shocked.
She walked up to him. He looked scared almost. "I asked who are you?" She poked him in the chest.
That freaked him out more. He screamed and ran off.
"Weird dude." She crossed her arms. "Wait a minute. Why is he in my house?!?!?"
She toke off after him. "Hey come back here!!"
She ran all over the castle but could not find him. She sighed and decided to go back to the entryway.
The storm still raged on. She looked on the floor.
"My bowls and pans but how?" The under each hole sat her bowls and pans.
"That man must have done that while I wasn't looking." She crossed her arms. "Who ever you are. thank you!"
She shouted as loud as she can.
"Your welcome." The voice came from behind her. She screamed and fell on the floor.
"You scared me." She giggled. He smiled and held out his hand. "May I?"
She giggled again. "Yes you may." She grabbed his hand. He looked scared almost when she did.
"Who are you?" She giggled and asked him.
He looked around like his was thinking. He started stuttering. "I'm a...Im...I'm Killian...Killian Sherwood." He bowed to her.
She giggled at his awkwardness. "Well Killian, my name is Ava. Ava Vesper." She curtsey.
He laughed now. "Nice to meet you Ava."
She looked at him.
"Would you like something to eat?" Killian smiled. "Yes please."
They walked to the kitchen. Killian sat at the table while Ava went through her groceries.
"Would you like a sandwich?" He looked at her curiously.
"Yes that would be fine." He studied her. Watching her every move. Ava felt his eyes on her. "So Killian. Why are you in my home?" She turned and handed him his sandwich on a plate.
He looked shocked at her question. He quickly looked down at the sandwich and took a big bite.
He gave her a thumbs up and then started eating it all up.
"That was the most delicious thing I have ever ate!" He grabbed her hands in his. "Thank you Ava!"
She was so confused. "It was a simple sandwich. Now answer my question. Why are you in my home?"
He sighed letting her hands go.
"I live here." He looked up at her.
"No one but me lives here." She was shocked.
"I have lived here for hundreds of years." His eyes grew sad as he looked down.
Ava started laughing.
"There is no way u less you are a vampire or something? But they don't exist!"
He looked into her eyes with a serious face.
"I am cursed to be a ghost."
