Chapter 183 - Joseph was rejected, again.

Joseph was very worried about Aria as she walked without even a word.

"I don't know what came over Helen I..." Joseph began but Aria cut him off, "Don't. I'm tired. Let's change the topic, shall we?"

"Fine." Joseph shrugged, "You're taking earth and wind bending exams this month too, right? Want me to tell you some inside information?"

Aria smiled, "I am a troublemaker. And that idea is intriguing. But I'm gonna pass."

"Scared of what will happen if the Professors find out?" Joseph raised an eyebrow as he challenged Aria.

Aria smirked, "Not really. I'm just confident that I'm not gonna need your help."

Joseph shook his head, "Didn't know you suffered from narcissism too."

"There are a lot of things you don't know about." Aria laughed, "Anyway, we both don't have exams tomorrow, right?"

Joseph nodded. "How about a fight then?" Aria asked with a smile.

"How about a date?" Joseph asked, his smile broader than Aria's.

Aria shook his head and turned around.

Joseph caught her wrist and said, "Hey! Don't leave! I was kidding. A fight it is. I'll pick you up after breakfast."

Aria nodded and stiffled a yawn. "That's great then. I'm dead tired. I think I'll get some shut eye."

Joseph smiled, "Wanna race to the North tower?" Aria rolled her eyes and the two flew away, a white and blue blur.

Joseph climbed in Aria's room from the window she had already opened. "How do you do that?!?" he asked, stomping his feet at Aria who was taking off her shoes.

Aria chuckled and opened the door of her bedroom, "Good night Joseph."

"And now you're kicking me out." Joseph grumbled as he walked out of the door, "Goodnight." he said as Aria closed the door.

Joseph looked at the closed door and mumbled, "I promised myself that I would catch upto you. But sometimes I wonder if that's even possible."

Joseph stretched as he came out of the classroom. He couldn't believe that his exam had been on the last day, just before the results.

"Hey Scott, how did it go?" a man quite older than Joseph asked him.

Joseph smiled, "Better than I expected. I'm sure I'll be able to pass."

The man patted his back, "You really are a prodigy. Hope we both can graduate together."

Joseph forced out a smile and parted ways with the man.

"What great honour would it be to graduate with you when you've been thrice as long as me in the academy." Joseph scoffed to himself as he walked towards the dining hall for dinner.

"So I guess my words do fall on dead ears, huh?" a voice grabbed Joseph's attention.

He turned his head as he recognised the voice and beamed upon seeing Aria, hair open and wearing a grey sleeveless shirt and a red knee length pant. She was leaning on a nearby pillar with her bare marble like arms crossed.

"Hii. Won't you ask me how my exam went?" Joseph asked as he walked upto Aria.

Aria rolled her eyes, "What will I do with that information. And I can't believe you're still being rude to people."

Joseph scratched his head, "I wasn't rude to him. Not out loud anyway."

Aria sighed, "Maybe not. But you're thinking has not changed. You still judge people based on their bending skills."
